Gray Scale entry 2

Gray scale pictures again.. This one made the grade and I call it almost there.. Almost there can also mean not really there as well..  Trying to make interesting pictures for my FB page and they will change fairly regularly with this one being there right now..

This is the main page or background part of the FB page.. and then another work was done but not kept where I zoomed into the picture and worked on it in a pixel by pixel mode.. What that does is makes the picture so blown up that you can literally erase one pixel and no one can tell, do enough and yes you can tell.. I did a lot of pictures like that a few years ago..  Zooming in and erasing pixels and making it look like the picture was taken elsewhere..  Kinda cool..

One time, out of fun and (S&G's) I took a picture from my first Facebook site and zoomed in and in a very few pixels I put my password to my FB and email sites, listing them and typing the passwords.. In this picture I typed something else completely different.. Should I post it???

The smaller dots are 25 pixels in size.. The bigger ones are actually not 25 pixels but rather quite larger.. Makes sense doesn't it...

In the Gray scale search, this guy showed up..  And really it does pass, they could pull off the gray scale look.. But the blood on his face should be red...

Ghost of a chance...

An idea.. That's what I had for an entry.. Went to bed thinking this idea is so profound I couldn't forget it by the morning.. And then..  Evaporation technique known as time changed that..  The video above is Kate Havnevik, one of the great vocalists in the group Schiller..  She has sung and written songs with Schiller for two of their albums and has her own solo career before Schiller and as well after, releasing  her latest album last year and touring in support of it.. The song above is Ghost with Schiller..


The other day we are at Walmart and mom says to me what is that juice mix flavor there.. And I says that is white cranberry and puke...  The puke is strawberry.. I feel about strawberries the same way my older brother feels about tomatoes but with one huge difference.. I can't strawberries AT ALL.. and he can tolerate tomatoes in the many forms they can be presented in, such as catsup and other of the many things that tomatoes can be in.. Strawberries are the closest thing to yark there can be and they sell it..

Absent

I just got done with a video that might be my last.. I call it Absent man and it has a GIF file converted to jpg files.. The gif was rather large and when I was trying to think what the song should be it came into my mind instantly.. Shine On You Crazy Diamond... Now this is a fairly long song but what I did was take the idea from the concert Welcome To The Machine and had that be the starting point, welcome to the machine was the name of a bootleg concert, and it starts with the Wish You Were Here album..  Starts with Shine on you crazy diamond.. I decided to edit it down via editing out Part three and part 7 (the vocals part) and made it an instrumental only.. Adding the elevator part, of course..  The absent man gif is a quick twenty seconds clip of a man (not a man, visible at any rate) and he is smoking, takes a puff then walks off.. All you can see is the suit, so he is either invisible or absent.. And it fits perfectly with the wish you were here motif because the entire album was recorded with the band wishing they were anywhere but there in the studio trying to continue on after they made the greatest album of their careers in Dark Side Of The Moon.. Why continue on??  The gif is turned to jpg and all of the files are placed in the video making it last just up to when the second half of the song starts.. It might seem monotonous to sit through and watch the video as it really seems to move very little, but that's the point.. When will it be uploaded here?? Good question, it is over twenty minutes in length, it will likely have to be butchered to get it here.. The full continuous video could go up on one of my Youtube sites for a short spell, likely not too long however, Pink Floyd music, in any form, is not liked to be uploaded on sites like that, unlike Schiller who seems to love the publicity..

I started a new Facebook account yesterday.. Not the new account from a few weeks ago, but rather a bang spanking new one.. Why??  So I can check the security setting to make sure none of what I post can be seen by any troll looking for evidence..  If I knew posting videos of the twins would satisfy this guy and have him stop trying to take the girls, I'd upload all the videos and have them be open to be watched but.. There is something about this guy and his tactics that I don't trust.. Anyway.. Now the new FB site is for testing security settings.. Will I accept friends requests??  Yes I will, but just to let you know, it isn't my main FB page, it has my real name. and a picture of the real me but the main page will eventually have my real name as well, if it will let me.. (By the way the picture of me isn't very new, it was one of the first twenty or so I took back when I first got the digital camera some ten years ago.. I haven't changed much, a bit grayer here and there, but you can tell that..)   The absent man has become a running theme lately on my FB page and now the second one as well..

Kiev Mission, the entire song...  Not sure how good this is, I put it together by way of a shitload of hypnosis videos and stills (?)  but it was kind of fun to do...  This is the entire song, there was an entry from earlier where the "live" clip was about half the song, but that was the entire song, because it segued into song of the whale (from dawn)..  Kiev Mission (2009 version)  from the Booster volume 8..

(P.S.  You've heard the saying "don't stare at the sun.."  Warning, don't watch this video to many times in a row.. This was made with several hypnosis videos and I'm not sure what could happen.. Likely nothing since I think it is the soundtrack.. The original soundtrack that gets the hypnosis ball rolling.. The visual is just something for you to look at while the voice tells you what to do.. Barking like a turtle shouldn't happen but you never know..)

Recently I decided to dabble in gray scale pictures.. Mostly for the interesting bit of fun that it can be..

Here we have what looks to me like a window. It might in fact be a window but it also might not be but for this picture idea it in fact is a window.. It might not be one but the actions of the visuals suggest it is in fact a window, and by the actions I mean the light reflecting from the ceiling as well as on the floor.. so that to me says WINDOW... So what I did was take an idea from my mind and try to make it happen.. First here a picture of someone.. 

To scale rather than what it was which was bigger than the window as well as the original picture of the window by quite a bit.. So here is the starting point, I used PdN for the majority of this.. it might be easier to use other programs, but this was PdN for the next try.. 

What are you doing being upside down??  Took the original picture, reversed it and then set it to 90 degrees and then moved it to a position I thought might work.. It won't do the angles on the main picture itself so I had to guess.. This was the starting point. 

After finagling it about and getting rid of the finer bits of what was there.. 

We get this.. Now for the shadow proper here I used the Artweaver program, using sponges of various types to get this to be more softer.. 

And this was just trying to used the different sponges without the inverted picture.. This was the first try to get this picture this way.. Might try again later after I try the Artweaver program again.. This was my first try to use this program in about eight years..

As with America, so goes the world..

Another senseless act of violence yesterday..  I woke up about three yesterday morning and the story of the bombing in Brussels was all over sky news, as well as everywhere else..

 

How many more times will we change our flags on Facebook and be Belgium strong, or France strong, Or ... America Strong.. 

When what happened in France I changed my avitar to show both the United States and France, then now I have Belgium and USA..  and then.. 

Me and the country therein.. So how long will this be??  

Yesterday there was this on someone's FB site.. And the responses were immediate.. HOW DARE YOU BLAME THE GUNS... I replied, it's a concept, they as well as everyone is tired of all the violence in the world..  The guns are just an easy target but not to worry, they will start using bombs in America, I'm sure of that. Should make the gun nuts happy then..  No response from the peanut gallery on that one.. The gun lobby is quick to defend their guns when any act of violence happens no matter what.. The day will come when something extraordinary happens but exactly how horrendous it will have to be is beyond my guess, I thought that Sandy Hook shooting would be bad enough, but then they never showed all the pictures of the mutilated body's of the kids in that school.. And even if they had the NRA and Ted Nugent and Alex Jones likely would have scoffed and said they should have let the kids have guns...  HHHHHMMM WHAT??? There is your sanity, they talk about letting teachers have guns, letting kids have guns...  Wow, lets all have a gun.. Don't piss me off or I'll go nuclear on your ass.. I mean it too.. 

By the way the site that had this on there was the Foreigner rock band site, not that that means anything significant or not..

Just a quickie here

I was looking at some hypnosis videos on YouTube yesterday or.. whenever and these will be the basis of the new videos I will be working on in the next few weeks (days) and .. I have no control over how  they might make you react so.. If you start barking like a hamster, don't blame me..  There are several subjects that will be part of the videos in the video.. However I think it is the sound, the talking and the binaral sounds, beats, music, chants... you know, the sound track is what would make you change your stance on things.. But these have all been muted, so I can add the music that will likely make you pull your hair out.. And the Infinity project disc four will be completed although I will say disc three included other things such as a music video put together shortly after my niece got married.. I forgot about that.. Volume four, with a lot of hypnosis video.. Where did I put the car keys.. Let me watch that video... Car keys schmar keys, I need to make a bet...

(P.S. Actually all the videos I've ever done that have motion, or video have ALL been hypnosis videos.. All of them that have a tunnel or screen saver or that motion thing that is on i-tunes or wherever they come from.. These have all been  a hypnosis video track to the music soundtrack... So it you have evolved to a no pack a day smoker.. your welcome..  )

On my new Facebook I sent out request for friends that I had from the old one, I really didn't have that many friends on the old one so I knew pretty much who was and didn't reply.. Truth is there were more people who asked to be friends and some that I didn't even think would want to be but I accepted.. For those who I sent requests out to and didn't hear back from I figured they really didn't want to be friends in the first place so after a week of waiting to hear a reply either direction (yeah/nay)  I rescinded the request, something I didn't know you could do.. I am now no longer sending requests out but will accept friend requests from people I know or I can verify that I could potentially know by way of checking their FB friends list that they know me by way of knowing at least some form of family or friends.. There were so many spam friends requests to the previous FB and the first one I had.. FORGET IT.. 

Hey, I filled out a bracket this year but I forgot my login info for ESPN and then on Yahoo I forgot to sign in before I started to fill the bracket out.. Damn I hate when that happens ... So this year I won't be showing my latest stats on how horrible I am doing on FB, not that anyone gave a shit anyway..  So now I give even more less of a shit than I have in a while.. I watched absolutely NO basketball this year.. I went from loving it to can't stand it in really not very long and even though I would jokingly fill a bracket out just for the S&G's of it, I really haven't cared about it in years.. It was just a tosser really.. Something to maybe show that someone who doesn't give a shit could do as well as someone who studies the game. Flip a coin, you'll likely do as well that way.. That is about what I would do.. This year I thing I would have gotten three games right, although I do remember filling in and most of the top seeds I went with, only picking a lower seed when it was just a single step away..

Negative to positive

I can't find the effect anywhere that caused this..:

I thought it was stitch effect in PdN but I messed with the effects in that program for the past hour and can't find it.. Now when I save a picture in the program I name it with the effect, such as resized layer overlay colour invert... You get the picture.. And in this case it does say stitch within the name but as I was messing just now stitch didn't do this.. There are more than just this as a setting.. There are a multiple number of settings, and in the case of this picture, you can make out my .. me in there.. With other settings the picture, or my likeness becomes very Picaso in it's likeness... So anyway I made a few new pictures today with trying to figure out what does what.. The basic version of the program has a lot of the very basic things that can be done in Faststone picture viewer and is preferred over Picasa, although I used pretty much exclusively on external drives, it can view every picture on the computer.. I just choose to do the external drives..

Now for the videos news.. There is something else faststone picture does.. It converts picture files from one thing to another and yes so does other programs but the thing faststone does is converts gif files to jpg.. This might be another so the fuck what moment for anyone reading this but.. There is a reason for me to mention this titd bit.. GIF files are motion pictures, and faststone takes the gif and cuts the file.. Making however many pictures that are in there into separate  jpg files (picture).. So the bigger the gif file the more pictures can be made..

This one I converted mostly to see how many were in there.. The gif is a long one, showing a ball traveling on the triangle shoeing that what you think is one surface isn't at all what you think it is.. This picture (file) is number 347... I thought it might be closer to one thousand.. So why did I convert the gif files to jpg?? GIF files don't translate into moving video on the video programs, neither of them, so I tried the idea of converting them.. On another program it just converts the face picture, the first frame, as the main picture.. That is fine but if there is a frame within the file that I would rather have then I'm screwed.. Now I can pick and choose which file I want.. Making videos that much more interesting..  Currently from the gif files I have converted I have over fifteen hundred pictures to choose from, meaning the videos I want to make can now be done.. How many videos are we talking about here.. 1500 stills would make..  a lot of videos.. But the number I'm looking at is around four.. maybe five...  definitely less than ten.. A nice selection.. Infinity project disc three..

I was looking at those videos last night and they really looked primitive.. What was with the misspelling??  He can't spell.. What's that about.. Just relax.. It is what it is.. I hate that term...

(P.S. It was stitch effect in PdN.. I went back and tried it again.. There are a few things to try and I thought the way it initially looked that that wasn't the right effect.. it is.. Just have to take a few minutes to try it out with different settings.. )

On the PNOP blog an entry was just done "live"  and had a St. Paddy's day entry.. And.. well here.. :

This and another little tid bit and.. Here is how it will be for that site.. I am about to get May to go and will get entries done through all of 2017 and then.. because it won't be relevant to that time, but it will have some sort of entry, a primary entry that at least will be something.. Then have a secondary entry that will be set during the day some how.. likely an entry that will have something to do with Hillary's screw up, because you know she will shit the bed as president..  Or president Trump...eewww  imagine having to say that..  But it could happen..

 By the way on my FB page I did mention that bomb shelter makers and installers are wringing their hands at a possible Trump presidency..  That could have been what got me banned from FB but.. it wasn't..  I know what it was and I will write about it eventually.. It wasn't very smart but it also wasn't something I said.. It was something I did..

This ones going to sting a little bit

This morning as I was doing things on the computer, the song When the Levee Breaks popped into my head and as I was listening to it, I decided to  comment on it via my FB.. Saying that this song (when the levee breaks) popped into my head from this album entitled.. well no title, or IV or Runes ... whatever you wanted to call it I suppose.. This was the great break album for the Zep boys since it starts with Black Dog, hits you with Rock and Roll, moves on with Misty Mountain Hop.. When the Levee Breaks is the final song on the album with the star track being that of Stairway to Heaven.. after gushing a bit about the album I then remembered something else about this album.. It was after going and seeing the movie The Song Remains The Same that I got this album, and as the final bit "..and she's buying the stairway to heaven.." was being sung that I noticed that imperfection was causing a bumping sound as the final part was sung.. That annoyed me a little bit, the same imperfection can be heard on the final guitar riff on When the Levee Breaks. How annoying.. Yes but there is another way to look at it.. While I could have taken the record back and gotten a replacement for it.. I didn't, and now there is a possibility that it could be worth something to collectors as it might be the only copy in the world that has that..  Or it could be trashcan fodder, who knows..

With troubles on finished product being discussed, there is what they call a sibilant after the first song on side two entitled Childhoods End as the song fades out there is what sounds like a percussive sound, but on the tape and early pressings on vinyl it is there.. On compact disc it is not.. Does that hold value??  More than likely not.. There were so many of this masterpiece sold it really is hard to say there is much value, and it is not a rare album.. Just hard to find a first pressing.. Do I have one of them??  Yes, and a tape version as well..

When Cheap Trick at Budokan was first released it was so everywhere but the States, it was only released here after the song Surrender hit number one..

I went to the record store one day with the idea of getting that album but with all the luck in the world they had re-released the first album and the volume II in one double disc set with the songs mixed to the full running order of the concert.. I'll take one of those please..

Found all the parts was released around..  When it was and it was a EP or extended play or sampler idea.. You can get this anywhere they sell vinyl, it is a twelve inch disc.. However the version I got was the ten inch version.. And it had the single Everything Works if you let it.. A double A side single, meaning the song is on both sides, the same exact song..

The Sex America box set was a long box version, four disc set with all the best from Cheap trick and ended as they were about to change a lot of peoples minds about how great they were.. What do you mean by that?? Well they dumped their original drummer and I feel for the guy, being shafted but.. He got paid but still wishes he is in the band.. Why??  Who knows, it can't be fun playing the same thirty songs over and over again.. That gets old..

For The Spring

I was deleting music for videos yesterday and was listening to songs to determine if they should be kept or deleted.. And this song was one that jumped out at me screaming to be made a video of it.. For The Spring by John Jenkins..  Builds to a crescendo and then.. Moved on, but at the point of attack it was really there.. Showing off, then falling off.. At the 2:25 mark it hits that high and then shows off a little.. Great song.. Enjoy..

YOU WANTED THE BEST AND YOU GOT IT...

Forty years ago this was released.. KISS Destroyer album.. The follow up to their massive successful Alive! semi-studio "live" album.. So what if they used studio tricks to enhance the live experience it was THE definitive of the group live.  I got into kiss with the live album.. Then bought the Dressed to kill album, then the originals album.. By then Destroyer was out and ripping up the charts.. On  a fan site on Facebook there was a guy who said he knew the words to all the songs by that first weekend of owning the record.. I replied I knew all the song order on all six of the studio albums and the two live albums..  I had no life.. The evolution of the kiss sound would pretty much stay the same until the "disco" album Dynasty which would lose me as a fan until Paul Caravello joined the band for the Creatures of the night album.. AKA Eric Carr, he would transform the band from their stuck in a rut plastic sound back to a hard rocking machine... Even though they would struggle to gain fans back from their three album pack of crap known as the disco, experimental music era of Dynasty, unmasked and music from the elder..  Unmasked was a particularly hard album to listen to because they were all but irrelevant.. I was in my first band back then and wanted to play anything by kiss except their latest music.. Music from the elder was a concept album that seemed like there was something else that it would go to.. But to this day nothing has happened.. An anime movie short would be really cool but so far no one has stepped forward with such a thing.. People want them to play it in it's entirety... Nothing..  

Amidst the rock anthems of Detroit Rock City and Shout it out loud was the ballad that would put them in the spotlight forever.. Beth, written  and sung by Peter Criss... Really Destroyer showed how versatile the band could be, as well with Great Expectations..   God of Thunder went from a speedy little number with Paul singing it, to the slower heavy sound with Gene on vocals..  I would not get the album until I bought it on cassette tape a while later and then got it a few years ago in the new redigitized version from a music site to remain nameless here.. But it starts with a Y... Go buy  it and crank it...

Tease me, please me

So this weekend saw two shows end..  For me the third run through of Breaking Bad was interesting, watching the entire season in 31 days, actually it was a bit longer what with events taking the ability to watch continuously away.. But as the third time run through it was quite interesting.. Some things had escaped my attention the first two times...  Then last night A two show "binge" to watch the final two episodes of Continuum.. Back in December, around Christmas time I watched the first episode of the final season of Continuum and it was confusing to me so rater than continue watching and hope it would snap back into memory, I started from season one show one.. And again with this show things got really good really fast as I knew it would, seeing it the second time around there were some things that I hadn't caught the first time.. Mostly Alec's son Jason.. Now this isn't a spoiler, it just a way to explain how cool this show is.. When Alec went back in time by a week to save Emily he really screwed things up on the original timeline (the show is about time travel and other things therein.. His son Jason is from Alec's original timeline, and his son is twenty two years older than he is.. That really makes the show worth watching..

The producers had six episodes to rap things up and the did a fantastic job doing so.. If you have ever seen the show "Fringe" there are some parallels to that show but where that had two timelines, parallel universes going at the same time, Continuum let you use your imagination to realize there were many parallel universes going at the same time... Really interesting.. I gave it a five star rating..

 High Lane was a movie about rock climbing at first.. And then.. Es wurde viel, obwohl es in Englisch genannt wurde dachte ich, warum lassen Sie es nicht für dieses Bit der Überprüfung in Deutsch .. Jetzt ist der Film ein Gefühl der Cliffhanger Stallone Film hatte, über das gleiche Gefühl, mit der Ausnahme, dass dies Klettern und das war mehr im Schnee .. das war gut, machte meine Hände schwitzen und bekam interessant, wie die verbotene Spur aus einem Grund blockiert war .. also .. das beste kann ich sagen, ohne die fininsh des Films zu verderben ist. . Sie alle sterben .. Aber in Englisch werde ich nur sagen ..  It was really interesting.. Watch it.. Find out the plot quite quickly..

The new show on Netflix added recently is Battle Creek.. This is really a good show, and as the early credits showed a name that was very familiar, written, directed and story by one Vince Gilligan.. He being the guy who had a really good lot of luck with Breaking Bad as well as Better Call Saul... So I knew it was going to be a dark comedy along the lines of the darker humour in Breaking Bad.. You know the scenes...  This is a pretty damn good show..

Broken democracy system

Back in 1981.. Hate to say that but.. Back in '81 I was in High school and we went to the firehall during election day.. I had turned 18 the previous October and so now I could potentially vote.. And I did, but I voted  for the more popular person rather than who I should have voted for.. That being said I was sort of lead by the media even back then they dictated a lot of things that went on.. 

Today I lapped the PNOP blog, which is to say I lapped the calendar, ending todays entries on March 17 2017..  I'm not even sure why I did it.. The relevency of the blog next year to now will be a year behind.. (except for the last ten days before election this year, which will be about the election..) So I was thinking why was I going to not only lap the real time date, but over lap it, posting entries until .. whenever I run out of things to post.. I ran out for this year's entries, ending in late October or so, with entries needing to get me until November 2.. Then I decided to continue on, since finding more things to upload both by way of things I already had and getting things by the reader and other was.. Now I have enough to get through the rest of 2017, or will ... 

Land of the Free, Home of the coin toss.. That lame ass super deligates system the democrats have is way beyond...  On the entry next March that this meme apears on I made a quick blurb of stating that this is the reason I didn't believe in our democracy system.. But that is a false statement, I actually lost vision of why or system works or how.. As far back as Clinton I didn't trust our election process.. That and our state means diddly in the over all election process.. We have what three deligates.. whoopdefuckingdo..  They don't even announce who wins Nebraska.. They just say and all the backwards states stayed plumb.. Nebraska, the Dekotas, Kansas and the other retarded states of the rebuplican stay the same union.. When I saw that the state stays the same every election I quit voting.. Simple as that.. If I lived in a state that was more progressive I would vote regularly but.. My vote really doesn't count.. And it is very rarely close.. The old money farmers corporations vote the same way every year.. It means regular people don't get a say.. Hillary is the chosen one for the democrat side.. She will represent in the general election against the blowhard Trump...  Let the best man win.. Like I said on Facebook, again another election where we don't have a true representative of the American people, but rather a lesser of two evils.. Another sad election.. Oh well...

...but then I blinked

So after last Thursday happened (where my facebook account was locked out) I thought seriously about not bothering getting it going again.. And Friday I really tried every way to get it back but there are rules they have in place for everyone to adhere to.. I thought well if it take four days to get my account back I might very well not give a shit to have it back.. Then I realized this is where the information is gotten so I had to get my account back.. But it was not to happen.. My account looked totally unusable ever again so I accepted that and dtarted the new account.. Getting the old account back was a total shock as I am not the kind of person who jumps through hoops very well.. But then I did what was needed to get my account back and then I was stuck with a dilema, do I keep the new page or leave the old and go to the new.. The only reason I could see to stay with the old page was my niece and that was a good enought reason.. However I can see everything she posted up until the last day on othe peoples FB pages so I made the decision to delete it.. It wasn't easy, but it was a decision I made after thinking it over one day.. and getting on the old site kept happening by accident, I had to do something about it so that now I could set all the browsers I use to stay with my login for the new site.. Also my name is on the new FB.. Not my whole name but enough of it.. you get the gist.. If you know me you know this is my FB page..

There were other reasons why I deleted my old FB account one of which I accepted to do beta testing of a new feature where they showed live content on FB, but I thought it would be a small amount.. Turns out there is a shit ton of live video and it was cluttering up my inbox as well as my timeline..

My brother had a question on his FB page asking if you are more religious or spiritual..  My feeling is spiritual although there is some other things from the church that I get but not really. The church is more to me a community thing, like minded people and I get that.. Spiritual to me is.. Well to me I feel like I am more spirtual in that I believe in ghosts.. and other things in that realm.. I know people would think that is nuts but after my dad passed away and then again after my niece I felt the same thing, the same way.. A spiritual presence.. I can't explain it.. Like when she moved into that appartment I had a feeling she would ... maybe not so much die there as much as.. never leave.. I envisioned her being there, at that complex long before she ever moved there.. But not that apartment, but one of them there.. A strange feeling no  doubt.. This past July 4th we were together for a family get together and

After getting control back this past Tuesday I decided to keep it, then Wednesday I changed my mind and decided to delete it yesterday but because I got busy doing some yard work I couldn't get it done.. Today it is gone, as of about an hour ago.. Why was I going to keep it??  I explained that in another entry and truth be told I can access he account via other peoples FB page.. So keeping that FB page was more selfish on my part.. Well .. now some bad news..

Yesterday I did the front yard, doing the power rake setting on the tiller, got the grass all better looking, that was the earliest I have ever worked the lawn like that, it is still technically winter via the calendar, but we have also had upper 70's weather temps in February and there are a shitload of dandelions out there. The bad news.. You remember the entry "this might be a mistake..." on it??  Well that was about the tree that snapped last late summer and the tree started growing out of the trunk.. Yesterday while removing the thatch, I took the leaf pile off the trunk and that tree was wrapped into the leaves and even with being careful that snapped off.. Really pissed me off that that happened.. Couldn't be helped but it might have been better to have tried removing it with the hose, shooting water in there and getting the leaves out that way. I just wasn't thinking about an alternative idea to get those out of there..  It might come out again but I'm not holding my breath.. I was going to wait and do that next month but I felt it should be done sooner rather than later.. So now the question is when will I mow the first time.. That is usually in May but this year could be April.. i've never mowed in April before but this past season saw me mow the second week of November because the season lasted so long..

Elly Davis..  Love you girl.. Elly and her twin sister are two grams lighter now after getting their tonsils taken out.. Hope they are feeling better...  I remember how that felt and I really felt good every time they were postponed but then last Wednesday came and they got them snipped out.. Sleep angels.. Sleep and enjoy the ice cream.. Although it still hurts to swallow even ice cream..

Free agency have started with the NFL and with the Bronco's losing their legendary QB on Monday to retirement and then lose the back up QB yesterday to free agency.. There is a huge upheaval about that.. But when you look at it from another perspective you get where he is coming from.. First, he never got the playing time he likely thought he should have gotten.. In games that were decided he could have come in and played a little.. He got to start 7 games this year and won some but in the games he lost the offense was stagnant, and that is his job to get the ball moved.. Well after Manning played in the second half of the Chargers game and getting the win that put the Broncos in the playoffs as the first seat they got a home bye the first weekend.. Now Brock is, in my opinion, a fairly decent backup QB, but maybe not a starter, and everyone thought we were set at QB for the next year.. Except for one thing, he wanted to be paid better than the brain trust wanted to pay him..  I agree with the brain trust, seven mediocre starts didn't deserve a huge pay day.. They wanted him to settle for $45 million over three seasons, and he thought he deserved more.. Guess again.. I heard radio sports guys say they thought he should stay in Denver for three seasons and prove himself worthy of that big pay day.. I felt the same way.. But then look at it from his perspective.. He helped the team win the title this year albeit in a backup  roll that was less than stellar, he was just alright, better than nothing and thankfully they didn't have to ride his performance into the playoffs.. He likely didn't want to follow the legendary QB, knowing as he does that he doesn't have the skill set that Manning does or ever will.. Manning could read defenses and their intent and was very rarely wrong.. He did get sacked but most of those were on the offensive line not getting their blocks.. Brock can read defenses but can't read their intent... It is easy to confuse him.. They will be happy with him in Houston in the preseason this season because no one plays their defense during the preseason.. Then opening day will hit and he will be lost.. I predict Houston will limp into the playoffs this coming season with a very well paid backup QB..


My "old" Facebook page, As I have said in a previous entry, I have control over it again, and was going to keep it mostly because of my niece page but.. I have decided to delete it.. Mostly because there could be a lot of confusion about having two FB pages.. I have little reservation about this being a bad move.. It's just time.. I mean I thought I lost the page anyway and thought Tuesday I would for shits and giggles give it a look see to see if it could be revived.. The problem is I was sure it was gone and when I got it back in my control I was going to delete it.. So I did a new password that I wasn't even paying attention to what it was, but I thought the browser I was on committed it to memory.. It didn't so I had to get another new password yesterday and that was pretty much going to be the day I was going to shut it down.. But because of a previous commitment I could only write on my timeline that i would shut it down today.. Which won't happen because I'm gonna be playing in the yard today.. Tomorrow it will be shut down and my new Facebook will have a few things done to it to identify it as the new my FB.. One glaring new thing will be my real name.. the other is it will be deleted as well... Only joking.. i think.. But sure.  That is what will be there.. My real name.. But the main picture will also be changed.. I did an entry here yesterday showing how I did the picture that I used.. I have some dozen or so versions of that picture, you know my motto, if one is good a dozen is better.. So there will be quite a few on there over the next while.. Until I come up with another idea..

Me, before the wheel was invented..

The picture of me on my new Facebook site is from that photo session from around 1987 ish and .. I remember the session well.. We were just reunited as it were, rebuilt with yet another keyboard player, this would be the best one yet..  Actually it was their cousin and he was willing to learn how to play but he didn't know chord progressions and so what we actually ended up with was basically a parrot, someone who could play some keyboard but wasn't able to write.. When Darren left the band I came really close to joining him.. It wasn't going to be the same and when we got the replacement guy, he was Dayle or Dail or however he spelt his name.. It wouldn't matter much, withing four months he moved to Denver and remained in the band for a few more months and then he was booted to the curb.. Rob was the least talented of the three keyboard players we would have, and really that was saying something. Darren was more talented on the keyboard than the rest of us on our instruments.. But here in the session I took that picture from is how it all worked out.. :

 The original proof.. Picture of me on the rocks out there in the middle of nowhere.. The day was a little like now but I think it was in May, a little warm but not bad.. The hat I wore was my older brothers hat.. I really liked that thing and wanted to wear it in all the promo pictures mostly because it reminded me of the Alice Cooper album Greatest Hits where they are all dressed as gangsters "Under My Wheels" indeed.. And that was always my feelings towards wearing that hat..

 Cropped the picture to where it is the top third or there abouts of me.. Then..

 Did what I really like effects wise on Adobe Photoshop, the glowing edges effect.. And this was it and was going to be it.. Then after I uploaded it and set it to be my picture I changed my mind and tried a little bit more.. Taking the original picture from above there I used the magic wand and clipped as much of the original picture out leaving only my face, Layered it on this picture and ...

 This is what I ended up with.. Then after some tweaking, ended up with what is in the avitar as it were.. :

 A little darkening of the picture makes me look a little more vague.. Just what I needed..

 The original uncropped picture with the glowing edges effect, I didn't try to get my face on this when I decided to crop the picture I thought it might not be a good idea.. But I might do it, ya never know..

 Here's another picture from that session of the entire band.. This session wasn't any more than a slight waste of time because we would never see any of the proofs, or I should say I never saw the proofs.. It wasn't until I was away from the band that I would get to see them, by way of my older brother who would come across them in that photographers old "studio" and would offer them to me for shits and giggles.. I'll pay that.. But.. it was the only thing I have that they didn't know about..
