Phudge the numbers are in..

Phudge Nuts On Parade (PNOP) will continue until the 10,000 views mark, and that means the end of this year, or next year or..   Sometime later because it really is hard to say when the ten thousand views mark will hit.. I thought by the end of 2014 but there are slim pickins days here and there.. Some days I nail down the numbers I want or am at least happy with, and then there are days where the big one mark is hit (views/day)..  Those days make me wonder just WTF you know??  Then there are days that it seems like I nail it.. Exactly what people are seeing in that site I'm not sure but I'll take it.. From about..  Not sure when, I started to have both pictures and a video from programs I watch as well as a GIF file a day.. The GIF file has stopped and is only exclusive of the final day of the month (if I can remember)..  Twelve pictures and a video make the magic number of.. 13.. Go figure, I just realized that just now.. 13 is my number.. I don't know why, I guess because no one else likes it..

So it happened again today and I'm not sure why or why this show.. The Micheal J. Fox show is torrenting right now.. Some twelve hours before it is on tonight both episodes are on torrent.. So that makes four shows I will have seen before they were on.. This past Mondays Castle, Ironside from two weeks ago was torrented before it was on, Marvels agent from S.H.I.E.L.D. was torrented and now Michael J Fox show.. Why these are on torrent tracking is beyond me.. There were people in the entertainment business blaming Netflix for the reason why Breaking Bad isn't doing as well in the ratings that they thought it should be doing. There are over 50,000 torrents for this show right now.. I'd say they are full of shit about the ratings of Breaking Bad..

The previous entry I said mom retired and it sounded a bit like it was her birthday.. It wasn't, it was this past Friday the 13th.. There's that number again..

The truth behind the rumour, behind the nearest..

Back in February or March mom discussed the idea behind retiring on her birthday this past August.. She was just sure she would retire on that date.. Then in June she decided to push that date to.. open ended.. I figured it would be sooner rather than later because she was just getting so tired of the place being less than it was under the other ownership.. Things changed fairly drastically from when the new owners took over on January first of this year.. Sure they kept the old GM, his idea was to ease transition for the crew (I think that might be the thinking there).. He stayed until the first of April, wanting to stay until school got out so he just move to the town he was from to be back with his first boss... That changed in April he left town and the new owners and his crew started to change things right away.. They tried to keep as many of the old crew as they could but with the drastic changes came the quick turnover.. Many people quit when the old GM left and many wore over the following weeks. Mom and two others were the only holdovers from that crew, mom leaving two weeks ago this Friday.. The lobby guy is rumoured to have been let go since.. So now the place is going south in a great hurry.. I stopped eating there back in the late nineties.. I couldn't keep the food down..

So you want to torrent do you??? Well it is quite illegal to do but so many do it that it just is really hard to police.. I have taken to using torrents as a way to watch tv shows here in the states but also around the world..  Taking some torrent shows by name as a guess as to what they might be about.. But using torrents as a dvr type of setting works well, some of the shows I am trying to watch are on at the same time I watch a third.. Monday night being a prime example with Castle, The Blacklist and Hostages being on at the same time as well as MNF which I watched.. Earlier in the day I got the Monday night episode of Castle (It's the first time I got it early for whatever the reason, and watched it before it was on that night)..  But here is the secret to how to do it..

http://www.wikihow.com/Download-Torrents

You follow these directions and you get what people get with the torrent downloads.. Everything you can imagine is available on many torrent sites..  The legality of it is.. quite NOT legal.. But it is hard to find who does what.. I used to get a lot of music there but quit for fear of being busted.. I do get music at a couple sites but they are concerts (bootleg type) and so that means rock and rock & roll..  The best music there is in my opinion, such as it is..   If I were ever told to stop torrent downloading I would, the threat of fines and prison just sounds like no fun..  I don't download a lot, maybe a few GB per week which is not very much compared to the TB that many people do..  I think I'm a small fish in the grand pond of the internet..

Spoiler alert

Ok, this is for all those gullible (like me) to watch a couple of tv shows this summer. Those who have no life or have a dvd recorder to record shows then watch later when their summers get turned into autumn and they have the time to watch their summer fare..  Well not so fast there..  Here is the show many got hooked on this past summer.. And about half way through the ratings were so good they decided to add  a second season.. A second season added to a mini series that was supposed to run only until it ended, I liked that idea, this should be cool.. Guess what??  They added the second season to what seamed like an impossible situation with so many characters dying every week.. So... I'm talking of course about Under The Dome, taking place in a small New England town of Cobblers Nob.. And that is exactly how I felt after watching the final episode of this show.. A NOB.. Here is the "kick the puppy" episode or more to the point the final bit (hence the spoiler alert entry name) ....  as the clock ticked closer to the top of the hour I knew I wasn't going to be happy with the ending.. You judge.. Hide your doggies first..

I also picked Siberia on the Not really a Broadcast Channel (NBC) and again another kick the dog ending.. I knew it would be that way.. As they stumbled into the town that was abandoned and searched for signs of life all I could think is this is the town next to Chernobyl, but then you realize it can't be.. They are in supposedly Siberia (hence the name) and also if you really want to get technical the show was filmed in Canada.. Another burst your bubble moment there.. But the way it ended was just..  I guess it will have a second season.. Or it won't, remember the show The Event from last year or two years ago??  there you go, the grand fuck you from a network that really doesn't care for their viewers.. And CBS as well did the same thing..

Cliffhangers??  If you want to give them that excuse.. Stephen King wrote the book that Under the dome was based on, and Steven Spielberg directed it..  Will they all return for next season??  And Siberia was done by???    A bunch of disappointed creative people.. Hey I liked the idea, and it had promise but I'm betting this ending was in fact the end of the show.. Any takers on that bet??

And so on to the season that is the fall disappointment to come.. NBC has nowhere to go but up seeing how out of the four networks they finished in fifth place last season.. That's right, they finished in back of the spanish channel.. Only joking there, but they did finish in fifth place, behind the all monkeys all the time channel..  They have some shows that might be good but they will have to let them run more than two or three episodes to gain traction.. Some shows that are well established might falter this season..  As for me, I try to watch the shows I like and the time shift the others.. So much to choose from and you add Canada and England and Australia and suddenly there is a lot to watch..

Happy Hunting..
