Dissappointing then perfect

Today.. yesterday.. Recently..  I started work on ...  a video project that was going to be .. is rather, is going to be for the anniversary of my Nieces death.. And ..  well it took a few tries but I got it.. now the first few videos were done as an update to the video that was on YouTube, I edited videos from different sources and made a quick video early on the Monday before her funeral and then uploaded it and set it to live.. That video was updated a little with some videos that were shot in November and December and ... They were almost the same length as the original videos with the same feeling as that one but with a few seconds from three or four other videos and then put music to them.. They felt like I was trying to make the original videos better so.. I thought stop for a while and try again later, I have until October after all.. Then her sister was down and talking about her birthday and I thought maybe I should try to get this project done for her birthday and so I cranked up the ideas machine.. The song would be my favorite song.. Play this at my funeral.. Never mind.. Anyway this one would be Shine On You Crazy Diamond (part ix)  and I edited the song from the studio album.. Got it set, had it from... some time back, not sure how far back.. Then before I started it, I remembered having the live version of the same song somewhere.  Got it and edited it down.. But it sounded stale after trying it out.. So I went in search of the song elsewhere and found it.. A better version, although still bootleg, someone re eq'ed it.. Sounds fantastic.. I set the pictures up, did the studio version first.. That's nice.. Did the live version next, crowd noise is .. really loud but you gotta love the energy.. Maybe this wasn't the best idea, even though it is done..  Wait a few minutes and see if a new idea pops into my head and as I went to the post office three new ideas popped into my head.. This will make it better and add persistence of memory as the music track.. That will make it work.. Then as I put it together another song popped into the idea log.. Pergamon..  Even better.. So I had the song, the picture ideas and everything started to click.. But the version of the song I had ended abruptly, i know on the disc it fades after the final note is hit and fades naturally.. Had to get the disc with the song, in the mean time the video program sat idle for ten minutes.. Found the song, transferred it to flash drive, then removed the song from the program.. Added the song as I just gotten from disc.. How much more of the song was there??  I fully thought three to maybe seven seconds total.. The song was just under five minutes, and then I placed the song from the flash drive.. seven minutes total running time.. WHA??  Did I edit the song sometime before??  Then the fun began.. I have to add close to two minutes of pictures of which that isn't really easy nor is it hard.. There were places on the video I could add pictures to.. I also like having black (no pictures) in there, it adds to the emotion, as I found out on other videos I did.. Alrighty we have it all set. Let's run it through.. See how it looks.. First run through and everything looked great.. and then the song ended with well over two minutes of video to go.. Wait a minute.. What just happened??  I take a look at the song and sure enough it was timed out to 4:55...  Four minutes..  Just shy of five minutes.. So why does the video program show there is still music playing when it is obvious there isn't any..  The program was shitting the bed and I couldn't figure out how to stop it.. So when I did a full run through after getting it set, I paid more attention to the length of the song rather than any thing else.. And as I tried to get it set everything started to go to shit.. The video was crumbling before my eyes just as it did back in October, and just like in October I put a lot of faith that the video would come out.. So i crossed my fingers and hoped beyond hope that it would come out the way I set it up to.. And the run through revealed that it wasn't set up right at all.. So a leap of faith, I clicked to save as and hope it came out right.. And of course it did.. You think I'd write all this to tell of a failure (again).. No chance.. This made my day.. might have made my century short as that is to talk about.. Now where to upload it to.. Likely this version will be here for her birthday on March 1..  And the Shine on will be for her ...  Well you know.. in October..   The pictures that I used were all the pictures that were her funeral.. All of everything.. Yes there were only two.. Three with the placemat but that was a black and white.. I only used ..one as it turns out.. Amazing the ideas that came with that one picture.. The placemat and the program pictures..

Anyone new here or those who read this off and on ...: You know I said I was going to try black text on black background.. Well that was (is) on the Infinite Improbability entry.. This right now and for a little while or.. however I feel like having it be this way.. It is no colour.. It is transparent for now.. Which means to read it, you really have to know how to set it to be read.. There might be a tutorial somewhere on the 'net but I'm not sure.. It really is quite easy to do.. The calligraphy font is hard enough to read with any colour there is but when I did what I did with the background colours clashed.. Kinda what I was after, making reading this blog an eye exercise.. This blog has become an experiment of sorts..  But a fun one.. Anyway for your enjoyment, this is transparent text..

Last night's ... ummm....  debate, if you want to call it that.. was one for the ages.. The debate, or as I called it a shoutfest... A "so's your mother"...   Fuckyoufest was just a lot of hot air to try as they might to turn anyone left with any dignity to NOT vote republican this fall..  Will the people remember the outburts from last nights creams of you're a liar, no you are and "so's your mother"..  Come on Donald.. Trump comes off with that if you're not for me I don't want your rapscallion ways in the auditorium.. So today is fallout day from last nights show.. The soundbites are many and then there was mouseketeer Ben Carson with his salad, life salad, reference.. Was that a good thing to go with.. Ben seems like a sitcom in the waiting "Ben and me"  the show about a man who ran for president, said some outrages shit, and came in dead last but just ahead of JEB!.. Jeb lost his identity when he tried and failed to run away from his last name legacy.. The legacy of ruining the American dream.. There were some pictures of Jeb! where he looked like he either just woke up or he was about to fall asleep.. Blame it on his glasses that made him look like a smart politician..  I had troubles typing that last bit there, if this were paper there would be a hole back there from me trying to see through the tears of laughter and giving up and ripping a hole in the paper from erasing it so much.. Then there is Marco Rubio.. This guys forehead always looks like he just stepped out of the shower, it's always wet.. And he looks like the little boy who every grand mother would love to have date their homely granddaughter.. He's such a good boy..   Ted Cruz is a creep.. No other way around it.. He has this look to him that screams PERVERT..  "Hey baby, you want to go around to the bushes after school and .. you show me yours and I'll show you mine..."  They get to the act and she gets all undressed and he gets there and screams.. WHAT ARE YOU DOING...  I meant show me your bible and I'll show you mine,  it's gold leaf and signed by Jesus himself.. SEE RIGHT THERE  at the bottom..  Yeah, that was your idiot father that signed "you are the light of the world, go forth and prosper".. Meaning get off that girl... 

So who won last night?? You know I didn't watch it.. I've only seen the indecent shit clips like everyone else.. I commented on some of them "I sure am gonna miss this show of three idiots, a stone and a mouse.. Was sure the best hour or two of stupid since.. Well you know..."   But to be honest the democrat debates are going down that rabbit hole as well as Hillary is trying to derail Bernie.. I like Bernie, a lot of what he says I agree with and he points to Europe as a place where it works.. Yes Bernie it works there, but over here, we are a capitalist country, and what that really means is I've got mine, screw you.. Money rules here and if you have it. you're  a WINNER.. And if you don't you are a loser, but in the end you leave this world the way you came into it, naked and screaming.. FEED ME!! 

Hillary is desperate because even though she was anointed the democrat side to be the first woman to be president, she is acting like she has to beat Bernie off with a bat.. Really Hillary, you have this bull shit wrapped up, why even try to make it look like there is a chance Bernie will win.. The super deligates bull shit and caucuses (caucusi plural) that have me baffled.. I guess they are there just in case she slips and falls on here ass (fingers crossed that happens).. Don't get me wrong, either of the democrats are better than anything the GOP has left in their field.. But Hillary has so many skeletons in her closet and the Benghazi BS could be her biggest but not really that important but FNC will bring that one out and dust it off in September October and December when after she wins election congress will be calling for her to be the first uninaugurated president to get impeached.. Could that really happen???  With the congress we have right now I wouldn't put it past them..

Can Bernie win??  I say yes. But his chances lie in the upcoming super Tuesday primary.. He can make a splash or he can ... Not.. I say the anointed one will represent the democratic party.. Bus versus Trump coming this fall..  In other words it will be another election where you vote for the lesser of the two evils.. Like the last two elections, last time Romney was saying everything that Obama was.. Scariest thing is that people tend to forget what Romney was saying in debates.. So it really will be up to the people to go with a politician or a businessman who might say the right thing at the right time and catch fire and be the next president of the United States even though he has less foreign policy knowledge  than anyone remaining.. Trump should be an easy beating by Hillary but if everyone stays home and assumes she will win in a route then Trump could win.. Scary thought that that is..

Change is good (try 2 )

Right.. Last entry was a political rant that ended with .. lots of swearing... Trump.. go figure.. Anyway this entry will be the after that which is the change is good for you entry part.. First though I just want to say how addicting the channel OSI 74  on the roku is.. Damn that was good watching.. Cinema Insomnia was a favorite but now I am hooked on 12:01 Beyond... Three and a half hours of true nonsense..  And that gal that announces what will be coming up on the episode.. She is crazy.. Just love someone who ...


In the past.. seven years ago.. give or take.. I was thinking after starting my second Facebook after having my first under the name Nuclear Infection and it had close to a thousand "friends"  why I went that route with it.. I had that many friends most of whom I had never met before.. I got out of that one and went with the Badge Henry name.. Where that name came from??  Well it was a day I was feeling creative I guess.. And really the name was simple.. The Badge part was from the song Badge by Cream, the Eric Clapton lead supergroup from way back when, the song Badge being a favorite song :

Instrumentally a favorite song.. What is the song about??   Don't get to deep into what it means.. Because it means.. nothing really..


And the last name Henry is from John Bonham, drummer from Led Zeppelin. his middle name was Henry.. John Henry Bonham on drums..   So there it is, Badge Henry.. the story in a nutshell.. 

So I was thinking about changing my Facebook name to my real name again.. I know I keep saying I'm going to do this.. A few years back I thought I'm going to do this, got to the name change page, got it set to be changed and then.. Didn't..    Mostly the reason I have kept the fictitious name was to keep classmates from finding me, classmates from high school.. I wasn't that close to them and feel like I really don't want anything to do with them even now.. But there are other people I might want to connect with.. Maybe.. I felt that way before but changed my mind.. Maybe this year some time I might change the name or start a different FB page.. Heaven forbid.. Who is Badge anyway.. Who is the other guy who claims his name to be.. well you know.. my real name.. 

By the way you might ask, out of shock of reality, was that where my Badge Henry name actually came from.. and the answer is no. I made that up.. Truth is the name came from the ether.. The outer limits of reality.. Just as was  buzzmunkey from the same place in the back of my mind.. Same as Stutch Thirteen.. Biker like an icon.. And the change of the password.. Someone finally guessed right.. Silent!Q was the password for my sites.. Had to change them all..  Bummer..   I  had an uncle ask me recently where the Badge Henry came from.. I just told him I have no idea.. And that is true.. Just.. came to me from nowhere..  So the bullshit story could make for a great line.. Great trivia.. But maybe not..

That's annoying but...

The "new" idea is being tried even though I said I wouldn't do it.. Trying ideas here and there just hang tight, this is far from over.. It will annoy you and maybe even give you a headache.. But I'm trying new ideas..

A couple of weeks ago I decided to try to get the effects that I had on Paint dot net a few years ago put back in the program again.. What was a good idea was expanded because rather than try a new idea and see how it works turned into just add the whole lot of them and then try them out then figure out which one makes everything work the way it did back when I was doing my nieces graduation picture slide show.. Trouble is back then I used a little photoshop and a shit ton of PdN.. Almost exclusive PdN.. but now I have another project that was just thought of with my other nieces birthday coming quickly..  A video that has become more interesting than any other I have ever done before..


Like I have said I am watching Breaking Bad for the third time.. And exactly when did Walt become the S.O.B. he did??  Some might say when he put that windshield washer on that guys battery shorting it out and causing the fire that would blow that guys car up in the third or forth episode and you might be right.. However when he was in Jessie's apartment when Jessie and his girlfriend were strung out on heroine and she rolled over on her back and aspirated, and subsequently drowned because she was too far under to wake up.. That to me was when the transformation was complete.. He didn't do anything to at least help her.. Let Jessie think it was his fault.. that was nasty.... How many times did Jessie get the royal shit kicked out of him through the series??  I'm thinking at least five.. The latest here now is when Hank Schrader pulverized Jessie thinking he was the one who called in the false report that his wife was dying in a hospital.. Getting him off the trail at the junkyard in the  RV..  Which is the third time??  But maybe it was just his second.. He gets treated like shit, sometimes it's warranted and others you feel sorry for him.. Falling into that outhouse at the guy who has the RV stored at.. That was pure nasty.. He was at low points and high points but it always seemed like he was going to get killed..   In the end.. Well I'm not quite half way through but you know what happens to Jessie..

Been a while since I've done an entry here on the same day... Since the day or two after the super bowl.. Anything that was there after that was from earlier in January.. A few preset entries that were done withing a week of the first of the year.. Let's get the party started right off here..

Saga : Welcome to the Zoo.. Yep.. Haven't heard this song in years and yet it popped right into my head earlier today.. Why??   I have no idea.. "We can't play only the old stuff..  Well we can we just..."   Michael Sadler... This video sync is way off but. You get the gist..

Heaven can wait...  While searching the song above this one popped in there as well.. From the studio album that Welcome to the zoo was from.. Pleasure and the pain.. 

So then it got warm and.. The snow melted.. One of the things that is worse than having all that snow on the ground is having all that freeze dried grass showing everywhere.. "This might be a mistake" where all that snow was on the memorial tree.. Well it's pretty much all gone now and I am left with a pile of snowed upon leaves and have yet to venture a look see as to what the tree is like but then again I wasn't planning to look until the first of April anyway.. Will it still be alive??  Will the miracle comeback still be underway???  I don't have any idea.. I hope it will be.. This last snow storm that delivered a foot of snow made me wonder though and I didn't add any more to the pile although by now it would very likely be gone.. Or very close as all we have left is a few inches close by here and there..

In the not too distant future all the blogs under my control will change again.. PNOP has a super bowl look to it, that will likely change to something fairly familiar and as I said the end date has changed on it again.. Last year, around the time my Niece passed away I decided to end it in this coming November.. I was at that time doing entries for February (this month) and there was a gardianship thing going on and I remember them saying something about they would have the girls until December.. i was working on the February entries and got the dates mixed up and I thought well that's good, ten months that's really good.. Doing entries way ahead of time screws up my sense of reality apparently.. Anyway PNOP is well into 2017 right now and all the stuff I have for entries will set it to end, If I stop getting anything else to put on there, around this time two years from right now.. So the ending will be.. Quite later than November of this year, it will likely be... Sometime.. later.. And this blog, remember when I said I was going to try black on black??  someone else is doing it and it really is annoying so.. I'm not going to do that.. Infinite Improbability will be that way.. And it will be video experimentation and other things like that..   This will be a different background and

Picture this

I'm up for trying new things.. I got a new program for picture manipulation some six months ago and never even tried it before.. Then today I thought I'd give it a try.. There are a very few things about Picosmos that I don't already have in some manner on the programs I use.. http://www.picosmos.net/  The program has it's moments but mostly they are preset, meaning you have very little control over what you get.. The one thing I really liked about it was the magic wand setting, just like on other programs but on Picosmos it has a rectangle that allows you to set the area you want to work in, and won't go over to the rest of the picture.. That is good but also can slow the process down as well.. Say if I wand an area of a picture to be worked on but with the Paint dot net (PdN) it can be dealt with with the tolerance setting meaning from 100% down to 1%..  That is a lot easier to work with but I am used to it, where Picosmos has that rectangle and no tolerance settings that I can find.. The rectangle can be increased or decreased in size to do more or less in area.. The presets are in the colouring of the picture which is alright but I like the settings on Fast stone or even Picasa in the preset programs.. I would rate picosmos about a four.. Four out of ten.. It's good for those who want a quick messing with the pictures and don't need complete control of the pictures.. I like the tweak ability to change it just a wee bit more .... 


Mind my have still I...   Or at least I think I do.. There are times when I think I am losing it though.. Forgetfulness is one thing, but there are times when I thought "I wrote that"  but I think it might be that I thought about it during the night.. "Oh I'll remember to write about that tomorrow..."  Tomorrow comes and I forget what it was I was going to write about.. There are deja vu moments that are occurring more and more often and some are good and welcomed and others are simply scary.. could be lack of intelligence but in my case I call it suffering from what I simply call DUMB... The lights are off and no one is home, the lights are dim and if you pound hard enough there is someone home... Then there is the lights are on and nobody is there.. The elevator goes ..  nowhere... Actually it might go sideways at an angle and eventually ends up somewhere..


It's like the saying that when you order something from an online store and they say it will get here on Tuesday and it doesn't arrive on that Tuesday.. They didn't say which Tuesday.. We went through that last year with some toy we ordered for the Boo (nephew) and it didn't arrive when they said it would.. That's ok, we ordered it early, there is three weeks until we need it.. Then we find out it is lost, they send a second one out the day after we reordered it.. I could have emailed them and told them we reordered it but then I thought let's see which or if either of them get here first.. Their replacement got here a day before our reorder got here, the day of his birthday.. Nice timing amazon..

Snow Day mountain style

 This snow was from last weekend, when we got our snow on Tuesday/Wednesday, that weekend before..

A little nostalgia on this one above here.. Mom said back then they would push the snow to the sides of the streets and then people would tunnel out to the street, no clearing of the sidewalks back then..



So the big question during the radio shows last night is.. Will he or won't he.. Will Peyton Manning retire or won't he.. My guess is he will and really should but it is up to him.. I feel like the defense carried the team all season and was really showed off in the Super Bowl..  I have heard he will retire.. And I've heard he will move on from Denver to play one last season with the Rams as a way for them to sell tickets and a way for Peyton to get one last serious cash grab.. If that happens and he played like this past season then he will be like Brett Favre in his final seasons as a journeyman gun for hire.. Not very good but it's Brett Favre..  But he was horrible the last three seasons he tried to play.. I like Peyton but he hit a wall this season.. I even said on comments during the season he was throwing the ball to whoever would catch it, no matter their uniform colour.. And ducks.. I was just glad no animals were harmed during this past season.. If he does leave ala  John Elway walking into the sunset then it will mean something.. However if he just leaves and goes to L.A. then it means he wants...???  What to hold onto a little more longer.. I doubt that he will get the respect from as many fans if he tries and fails miserably.. He will be Brett Favre version 2.0... You don't want that.. I said he was beyond it by one season when he was outpacing the interceptions to touchdowns ratio..9 TD 17 int... If he leaves, and he will likely not play next season unless it is by incentive only, Denver can't afford two starters at quarter Back.. so that means Peyton will likely be gone.. They have to keep Von Miller, the QB of the defense.. And build from there..

Broncos win the title

Here are my thoughts on the game yesterday.. I honestly thought the game could have gone in either direction although I felt Denver had a better chance to win and a lot better than two years ago, but in that game the Broncos had too many players injured on the defense including one MVP of super bowl 50 Von Miller.. Alright, the national anthem could have been horrible but Lady Ga-ga nailed it.. A few years ago she learned how to sing for reals man yo...  Then the coin toss I really thought the Panthers would win the toss and take the ball and try to establish momentum against the Broncos Defense.. In hind sight they likely did the right thing and kicked off, but that reminded me of two years ago when the Broncos got the ball first and subsequently set the tone for the game fumbling the first snap through the end zone.. This yesterday was way better, the Broncos established the line of scrimmage and how the play was going to go.. Panthers got the ball and that pass that the receiver almost caught but was ruled not to be a catch and upon further review .. I thought it was going to be overturned, and be ruled complete.. It wasn't.. And the game announcers couldn't see where it wasn't a catch.. This has been that way all season.. They will have to establish what is and what isn't a catch during this off season.. The next play saw the Broncos knock the ball free from MVP Cam Newton and recover in the end zone.. Ten nothing and there  is no easy wins in the Super Bowl, remember the Broncos versus the Redskins when they had a lead going into the second quarter and then lost big time..

When I saw this on Facebook I thought Denver should win.. Then prognosticator of all prognosticators on Facebook David W. said he thought the Panthers would win in a fair route, I stopped worrying about the Broncos losing.. He is never right, or what he says you can bet the opposite will happen..

The halftime show:  I'm not usually a big halftime show fan but after Bruno Mars blew the roof off the joing a couple years ago I thought, ok, I'll watch..

Coldplay can be good and last night they were ok.. The entire half time show was pretty good.. Very high energy.. As was Beyonce and Bruno...  Lots of effects, very high energy..

The second half became a highlight reel for Von Miller's induction into the hall of fame in Canton, as he showed how to be the MVP of super bowl 50..

Cam Newton super man.. Gonna be a great game Sunday..

The Rundown was an interesting little movie.. About a guy who had to retrieve his bosses son from the Amazon..  That should be fun.. With The Rock and Ssean William Scott...

4:44 : Last Day on Earth.. Here .. I don't understand why I watch these end of the world movies.. This one starts about 24 hours before the end.. What is causing the end of the world and why at that time exactly??  Well it is perfectly timed because that is when the global warming is going to get us.. Exactly how this happens because it isn't a space rock or nothing like that.. And **SPOILER ALERT**  although they never really show or tell how the world ends about the only thing you can take from it is the ozone is completely depleted and some how that pulls the plus on the one thing we need to live on the planet.. AIR..  That's the only thing I can think could cause  everyone to die simultaineously..

Because I had time issues I had to watch a quick documentary .. In this case The Day the 60's Died.. Interesting to watch..

Then this...

As this movie started I wasn't sure I was going to like it.. But I let it go for twenty minutes, then before I knew it was half over I thought well.. Alright then.. Rabbit Proof Fence is about a fence.. A fence that doesn't allow rabbits to cross it.. Not just a clever name.. No.. It's about the time in Australia that they were trying to make a race disappear, a cleansing as it were, by taking children to a camp to change them into proper Australian persons.. These three girls (sisters) were taken away and shortly after arriving they decide to leave and go home.. The fence would be a guide for them to get home.. As they start to chase after these girls with the best tracker (he never came back empty handed.. Until this time... Really a great movie..

I started watching Breaking Bad for the third time on the first and have watched an episode per night.. Last time I watched with the idea of keeping count on the dead that are directly or indirectly caused by these guys action.. It gets out of hand when that guy that is a air traffic controller has his daughter die and subsequently goes to work and crashes two aircrafts into each other.. That's when the count goes triple digit quickly and I lost count.. This time i'm just going to watch and realize that there were so many times the kerbosh could have happened.. But they were able to continue on.. Ruining some peoples lives and killing others.. Walt and Jesse...

 This was more than a little strange but ... The gist is these two kinds, boy and a girl, go to the drive in and it is pouring rain.. Perfect weather.. Then no sooner do they get parked and get going than there is a thumping on the car.. Someone ran into them??  No, someone stole his back wheels... He gets out looks and finds the police stole them.. What ensues is beyond a weird dream of any kind that I have ever had.. )

What's happening ..

Well it's been another one of those weeks where the world turned and events happened.. Kinda like it does.. Now the review of the nothing that has been going on.. Whatcha doin'?  Watchin' tv.. So check it out.. It's an election year this year, bet you didn't know that. Anyway back shortly after Donald Trump got into the race, he was in first place and making all these stupid things he was saying and getting higher polling numbers.. How can someone say outrages things like this and keep gaining numbers in the poles??  Simple, he is appealing to the lowest common denominator.. The scum of the republicans.   Now push is quite well coming to shove and I said back in October, November December.  et.al that he will eventually say something to lose ground and fall out of favor, he will..  To say mildly  shit the bed.. He has been unhinged before but recently has been saying things that are proving he is off the rails.. 

He starts to cuss during his speeches now, that is a sign of someone who is proving he is NOT presidential material by any stretch.. Keep it up Donny, you will be back to the old grind by December at this rate.. Actually he will be back to the old grind by May I predict he will either pull out of the campaign or splinter to run independently which means Bernie, get ready to be president.. It will guarantee a democrat will win..

I fully agree this guy is the worst of American greed and this video with him smirking at the congress grilling yesterday was classic asshole.. But I want to say that while he was showing his dirtbag side you have to realize this was congress he was being grilled by.. These guys are the worst of crappy people anymore and all I could think was as they were asking these questions and this ape shithead was smirking he was likely thinking pot calling the kettle...

I'd like to see him be on Comedians in cars getting coffee on Crackle although Paul isn't a comedian.. neither is Obama but that was good.. 

Finally there is a game this Sunday, not sure you have heard of it or even follow such events.. It's the international cheerleader competition..    Just joking.. it is in fact.. This thing :

Super Bowl 50.. or L as it will be LI next year... My feelings are the same for this game as the conference title game, except that I though the Broncos would win and the game would be a fairly high scoring affair..Where'd that idea come from?  But I feel the same way about this Sunday as I did the title game to get there.. They are playing for the owner, they want to bring a trophy to Pat Bowlen and for Peyton... For Kubiac and for him to pull off a win in his first season as the Broncos head coach would be fantastic.. What I would love to see is a defensive battle.. Broncos win in a twelve to 9 field goal game with McManus setting a super bowl record for distance.. But that likely won't happen.. Now two years ago the broncos had the most prolific offense in the game that season against the best defense and of course the Seahawks won.. This year the rolls are different, the Broncos have the number one defense playing the number one offense.. What I wish is that the offense had gotten on track about Christmas time and kept it up going into the playoffs but as the year turned Osweiler was the QB.. They were sputtering on offense.. to the point where I was saying these guys are trying something new or trying a plug and play system of some sort, play great in the first half and sputter in the second half.. I kept commenting that they looked alright for the second game of the preseason..

Hopefully they can contain Cam Newton, in fact if Cam wasn't playing the Broncos would win by forty.. The defense is key and the defense needs to not only get turnovers, they have to take them to pay dirt..   I want Denver to win and I hope then do but... I have this feeling, they won't because Cam is hard to stop.. but if they can stay within ten point going into the fourth quarter Denver could win, they normally play four quarters because they have had to all season.. Caroline has a tendency to look at the scoreboard and see the fourth quarter start and relax.. Big mistake against the broncos.. I'll pick Denver to win 32 -28.. Peyton rides off into the sunset with that super bowl ring and Canton ready to make that call.

Monday the snow made me experiment with the program on the computer here.. Mostly I was trying to decide should I keep this program or that.. And in this case it was the picture manipulator program called GIMP..  Which stands for GNU Image Manipulation Program..  What is strange is upon opening it up the program is essentially two  blocks on the screen. not a complete program like Adobe Photoshop or Pdotnet... So I rarely use GIMP mostly because of a completely different reason than the one that presented itself yesterday.. There are a lot of cool effects that they have on their program and I used one of them, Lava and it really was seriously cool looking.. Then I "saved as.." and it saved as a file that can't be viewed by anything I have.. XCF file format.. And to convert it to a jpg or anything else I would have to use a program that I have no idea what it would be.. Makes the program obsolete.. So is it the latest version??  Yes, I got it Monday as a way to really try it to see if it could be kept for any reason.. That answer would be no, but I am going to see if there is any reason to keep it.. Maybe I overlooked something on the "save as.." step.. Like Adobe Image Ready where it can be "saved as.."  everything but what you want.. And Adobe Photoshop which has pretty much every file format you could want.. PdN as well has every format.. And Fast stone which even has the RAW and the larger files..

I'd love to add a few DLL  to it but have no idea how to program, but if it could have plugins from PdN I would love to do that, but I'm sure it uses it's own coding.. Paint dot net uses .NET in windows.. GIMP uses C, C++, perl, python and so many more.. Good for them, still doesn't help me..

Happy Groundhog day everyone... There are two ways too look at this.. Either there will be six more weeks of winter or it is just six weeks until spring.. Either way.. Take your pick that helps you make it through.. Here we have another snow storm that is wrapping up that caused pretty much everything to be closed down..

We would have to dig the snow off the groundhog and then pull him of his hole, wake him up and then find out that way.. I would say the answer is.. six more weeks until spring..

Now a few years back we had the groundhog tell everyone it would be six more weeks of winter dread and instead it got warm.. By the first of March we were getting days in the sixty degree mark and even seventies.. We got early leaves on the trees and the lilacs were flowered and done flowering by the end of April.. By May we were getting 90 degree weather..

That was the year after we had a nasty rain and flood (I think) and we would lose all that water in the creek.. The start of a dry period.. And now we get our third serious snow storm of the season, the other two was the week before Christmas and the other was Christmas afternoon and the day after..  What does this groundhog know.. Absolutely nothing..

I watched the pro bowl last night.. Wow.. Here i have  a quick one question quiz for you..
The Pro Bowl is :
A: better than nothing football wise..
B: about as much fun to watch as paint drying..
C: about like watching flag football
D: as tame as a little kitten
E: neutered to the point where it is like watching football from twenty years from now (no hitting allowed)
F:  ALL OF THE ABOVE...

I hope not in the case of "F"   otherwise they might have to start a full contact bowling or fishing or golf..


Yesterday I was trying to start a video ... long delayed video, for some music and I wanted to use video clips that I had put together some three or so years ago and at that time I thought eventually I would get it together to do them.. I thought it would be sooner than now but, better late than never.. The video clips are on the "projex werx" flash drive.. And they are all there. somewhere.. I found them, added a few pictures and then more confusion erupts as everything I wanted to use has seemed to have disappeared   some how.. Although it is all there, or was yesterday morning when I first started again..   I quit trying to get it to go and went and watched something else.. Then I went to get it going yesterday afternoon.. Quit because I couldn't find what I was looking for.. this is a 16GB flashdrive and seems to be even bigger than that.. Today I will give it the old college try again.. It can't be that hard to find.. I'm afflicted with a really bad case of dumb and sometimes it's worse than others..


Ok, i watched a few shows this week.. One, Rain Man was about to be dropped by Netflix so I had to watch it..

Rain Man with Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman is one of those family you never knew you had type of movies.. I had never seen the entire movie from start to finish..

Nightbreed was a movie...  Let's just leave it at that..   Actually it was a movie that was just about two star rating.. So why did I give it three??  Screw with the curve I guess.. It was two hours that I will never get back..

The third movie.. Yesterdays "The Way" with Martin Sheen.. The Way is about a trek on the Camino de Santiago, a trek that can take four months to complete.. The story here is about A father who's son is trying to travel the world and have as many worldly experiences before settling down completely..The son gets killed in a freak weather accident (they never say what happens but it likely involved lightning ) and his father (Martin Sheen) going to retrieve the body and bring it home decides to have the body cremated and then do the trek to spread his ashes along the trail.. Quite a moving story from start to finish..

Is Z-nation going to end soon?.. Listen, I like the story line but it isn't the Walking Dead by any stretch.. They have a goal.. Get "the Murphy" to California where they will let the CDC try to make a solution to the Z-flu..  As much as it can be a flu.. virus or whatever they are trying to pull off.  A fairly interesting show, has more dark humor than anything else.. But is it a short series as in two seasons or three, or will they try to keep it alive a while longer?? Continuum remains that show you just gotta see, and even though this will be the second time through for the most of the series, I tried to watch the final season, I was lost from not seeing the early bits then continuing.. It's a relatively short series that I restarted around Christmas time and should be done by no later than May.. I'm gonna start the third time through watching of Breaking Bad watching one show a night until it is done in.. April I think..
