Zabriskie Zabriskie Zabriskie Zabriskie Zabriskie Zabriskie Zabriskie Zabriskie !!!

It's not every day I misplace an album, or in this case a three part album.. or folder as it was.. I put most music into folders now and burn them to disc and store them where they will be relatively safe.. The backyard where the sesspool used to be..  But I got the disc found the folder and yesterday got the album (folder) set of a flash.. Great I gots it..  The other night I get ready for bed and switch on the radio and tune to the station (channel) I listen to to fall asleep.. The channel is a sports channel and the guy comes back from his breaks with classic rock and most of the time it is Pink Floyd.. I hear him talking a little about  something about Pink Floyd and the great album Zabriskie Point.. No you read that right.. ZABRISKIE POINT.. I had to refocus what he was saying because not only am I trying to listen to the radio, I have the roku on the i-tunes channel and I have Steve Czaben on with his screwy sports radio show from earlier in the day (this is how I fall asleep, the radio I use to tame the tinitis, I can't sleep in total silence it wakes me up)..  So I went in search of my triple copy of Zabriskie Point and found it.. Put it on a flash drive and finally went about checking the songs.. THEY'RE GONE!!  This happened with the GUN and Wrabbit albums earlier.. But after rechecking the disc this was on I found it.. Spread over four separate volumes I found the whole album.. But not before I went in search for the album and finding a complete second version of the album. A jam session that went on for a little over an hour.. That's cool so.. Found the soundtrack as a whole that was resynced and Rhino rereleased it a few years ago.. Now with this that I found earlier today I have twice what is on the reissue release.. The box set gets bigger.. Also found the fan produced out takes of the KISS stuff.. KISSTory demos and rare stuff.. Trying to set it to a dvd to put in the box set of theirs.. Today has been fun..

OK the "great album" Zabriskie Point is in the ear of the beholder..  I like it because not very many people ever got it..  The film was a massive flop but the soundtrack was good..

BrainZZZzzz.. the sequall

This is a little video I made of the pictures from yesterday's entry.. Doctored them a bit and added a few more graphics.. The skull and crossbones were the best part of this.. Take a guess at the "animation" that is my favorite.. There are two but the one that nearly makes you puke.. That's my favorite..  Anyway there is no such thing as a "toss together" video anymore.. This took a few hours to get done..  Wonky Monkey incorporated...

Ski and sneeze..

Skijoring is the event that took place a week ago in the old home away from home..

Skiing behind a horse up and down the street with jumps and other fun things..

The crowd sounded like it was a record setter..

Forth of July in winter.. I suppose if you've been in the house for  a while because of the negative temperatures there that it was like a summer feel to it..

Of floss..

Don't ask me how I got them, but I did.. The proofs from this years Sports Illustrated dental floss edition.. The swim suit edition of Sports Illustrated.. Observe..:::

There were about a dozen pictures of Hannah Ferguson with this fish net thing.. Mostly frontal, which I can only assume weren't in the magazine..

Kate Upton.. There is a lot of people being critical of her.. She isn't the typical size zero model, she has curves and isn't thin beyond realism.. It's this reason that I like her, same with Jenifer Lawrence..

So how did I get these pictures??  It's amazing what you can find when you search for something.. In Google the search was this topic and it wasn't in the first page... it was somewhere.. If I told you it takes away from the looking for it.  24 models (folders)  with around 20 pictures (proofs) each.. When I searched for this I was after the pdf version of the magazine, but this is what I got instead.. Originally I thought it might be the pdf file of the magazine, or the section that had the swimsuits only because I've gotten that before.. This was a nice surprise..

(P.S.  starting tomorrow and running until June I will have five pictures on the PNOP site with these swimsuit pictures.. originally there were 719 pictures in all together added up.. Now I have the first two weeks of March done with the preset of entries set to the middle of the month.. That should help thaw the ice out there.. Whaddaya say?? )

(P.P.S.  Today, the day after the day this was posted which was Monday the 24 (merry belated x-mas or as I like to call today the 25th of February)  I looked for and found yet another set of pictures that totaled 7605 pictures of swimsuit models from different years and I did the math.. Having five of these pictures on entries every day would result in  me having five pictures per day for the next 1521 days.. Which in years terms means having five pictures per day for the next four years.. 4.167... there abouts.. So rather than do that I will post fifty pictures per day for the next 152 days give or take.. )

Olyfree

This might come off as strange but.. With the Olympics over, or nearly over, my own admission is.. I almost didn't watch any of them.. I like the games and all and my intentions were to watch a good lot of the games but strangely enough I just didn't..
From the opening ceremonies on I just didn't watch much.. To me if it wasn't on the Roku, then I didn't watch it.. That's not at all true, I did watch some on cable tv, but it was spotty going with the roku. I watched more of the games by way of other networks, the first being the BBC or ITV from Britain..
Then there was some luge coverage by way of NBC on the roku that was being brought by a guy who was bringing the Atlanta feed and so I got to see everything an hour earlier than our prime time local feed.. Then there was the USA Russia game this past Saturday morning in which I was awakened by the game being on the radio and I turned on the tv to look for it on the roku, finding it not on the English channel but rather a Russia channel so I got to hear it some 22 seconds before the tv had it.. That's worse than the time between the radio and tv for football games which is a few seconds but still ok..
Todays semifinal between the USA an Canada was only on the NBCSN channel on digital cable, and a radio channel on Tunein on the computer and roku.. I tried to find it online but it was nowhere to be found.. Not even Justin.tv had it so I listened to it on the computer and was disappointed with the outcome..  Reading the comments on the coverage of the game today nobody was happy that NBC ran the game exclusively on their NBCSN channel.. And no streaming (well paid but..)
The events I usually go for are the more extreme sports, plus the bobsled events of skeleton, luge and bobsled..  That just looks like fun to me, remembering the good old days of sledding down our backyard hill. The pasture, the streets.. The fun..

Badge Henry

(P.S.  Not for any other reason but I wanted to watch the Olympics via the roku if I could.. I searched regularly for the games on the box but really I wasn't that interested in them like past years.. Why depend on alternative viewing for something like this??  Well I am becoming a firm believer that they will eventually make everyday tv more pay per view in the near future for people that want choice substance in their viewing.. What I mean by that is rather than offer a multi channel package like what cable tv and satellite tv does, they will offer each channel individually.. Like it is now with the Roku and the channel store where you pick what you want to try.. Some channels are insecure and don't offer any free preview.. Some of the best programing is commercial supported and that is either good or bad depending on your stance on it.. You pay for Netflix and it is full on premium  VOD which means you pay for programming to not have ads in them.. Some have the ability to not have ads in them if you pay a buck for them (most of the time it is a buck for the movie, my trouble is I rarely watch very much of that movie).. )

Back home in Alaska

More pictures from the latest edition of the "home" paper.. The picture above with yet another fresh coating of the white stuff..

Yep, there's be'in some snow thar this yer..Many an inch or two this year.. Looks more normal this year than any year since the last time it used to snow like this..

Cabin Fever..

Little boy being towed by his doggie..

You know me, I see a picture and see so much potential to mess with it a little..  Above glowing edges effect at 5, 10, 15 settings.. I never paid that close of attention to the settings before but it just seemed to look the best there so.. There it is..

Neon glow on the one above.. This isn't so much the settings but rather the base colour that could yield so many looks as well as a few settings.. Don't ask what the settings were on this, I wasn't paying attention..

Fresco effect or as I call it fresca after the old soft drink way back when.. Looks  a little like ink sketch on the paint dot net program..

Planets realign... again

So here's the thing.. The situation.. Yesterday I open the old reader (an actual program site thing) that took the place of Google reader last year or whenever it was ...  I so got into RSS reader a couple years ago and when Google stopped that part I was looking all over for a replacement.. Found it in the old reader.. Then yesterday I open it and it says they are going the pay route.. Six dollars a month.. Big bucks really.. I mean it really isn't but for me, I look at twenty sites regularly maybe, and I had over a thousand before with Google reader then cut it way down to just over five hundred when I migrated to the old reader..  Well ever since I had troubles with the browser(s) and the FVD speed dial set up, I was going to downsize by way of the count on them.. They have a number of clicks counter on everything I use  and I can tell what I use and what is a waste of space.. Same was the case with the RSS reader, I was going to downsize that anyway, just that now I will get to it sooner than putting it off until...????   They have a free tier at 100 RSS sites and like I said I think I will have around 50..  It sure would be cool to keep more but on the other hand I never look at them so why keep them now..   So there might be more "Likes" on Facebook in case anyone wonders why I "like" this or that or why it is or seems to be exploding on the FB or twitter.. That's the reason.. I will try to keep the more interesting of them on Facebook or twitter and the others will be on the speed dial or be deleted all together..    Hard to believe but there will be nearly none of the RSS feeds.. Truth be told I am getting tired of keeping all that together, and there really is no need to keep  a lot of it.. With the Roku I have news channels that are easy replacements for all the news..  How much is too much..  I think I found it and this long after having the reader and realizing how few I really do use it is an easy retraction to do..  Getting it small... Get small.. I'll do that.. Happiness is getting shit to be manageable ...

Badge Henry

(P.S. The final number on the RSS reader count was 77...   Unbelievable I know but.. How many made it to the speed dial??  Way to many.. That will be the next cleaning out session..  Facebook got a lot, as did twitter both of which need a clean out as well..  I thought that way before as I was adding some sites to Facebook that that was way too overloaded as well and twitter.. forgetaboutit...  )

Nugget of choice

Well I'll start this one out this way.. From the Facebook page of Mile High Report...: "Are the ‪#‎Broncos‬ going to get new uniforms?"  New colour schemes  after the blowout loss in the Super Bowl could happen.. Remembering the first three super bowl losses that John Elway was involved in and they changed their scheme then went on  a run of three consecutive super bowl playoffs, the first being a surprise loss but the next two runs put them in the title position.. Here's some of my doing.. :

First here was this years MVP wearing the orange crush memorial jerseys (that's not what they were called but that was the era) except for the bean protection, this was the throwback.. Everyone was all excited about the return and I was hoping that would be good but I remembered the thumping they took at the hands of eveyone in the super bowls Elway was in with the old arange and those helmuts with the  big D and the bronco head in it..

A near pink colour.. No team has ever had a pink colour scheme, why not be the first..

Green   tribute to the CSU rams??

Multi colour..  good for you.. It's good for me..

Sort of a powder blue.. Naw I hated the Nuggets when they went baby/powder blue.. Yark..

This is more like it..

Yep I ran out of ideas three pictures ago..
