Defined of wonder and wonder, as from the PNOP blog.. I wonder how much that dog costs.. He is such a wonder, a great person indeed.. I'm going to walk around, maybe just see what's out there, wonder aimlessly... That's what I was going for.. Wondering and wondering, spelled the same but pronounced differently and meaning different things as well.. Strange..
Back about twelve years or so ago I started to try to teach myself how to play the guitar.. I had the ability to play rhythm by way of playing the drums so counting was the easy part.. the hard part wasn't really that hard, it was the realization that my left hand wouldn't cooperate with the task at hand.. For an example do this little exercise, with your right hand touch your thumb to the tip of each finger.. For me touching each finger to the thumb was easy, and in fact I could touch the inside and outside of the tip of each finger.. Do that with the left hand.. Touch each finger tip to the thumb.. I'm fine until the ring finger.. That gets tough, and the pinky finger simply won't touch anywhere near the tip, in fact it is closer to the first knuckle from my hand.. When this issue presented itself I had no idea what the deal was.. Was it arthritis?? Turns out I remember what might have happened.. One day when I was younger I was coming down the stairs on New Years eve (or day, not sure which) and mom had some things on the stairs and I had missed these items through the entirety of it being there but on this day I wasn't even looking and stepped just right and my left hand ran into the wall.. Initially I thought I broke my hand but as I brought my hand up and my pinky finger was sticking out ninety degree angle to my hand.. with my ring finger right next to it.. That hurt.. Full dislocation that would have my hand (fingers) taped together for several weeks, or until I started to play the drums five days later, whichever came first.. playing the drums was more important and ignoring pain is easy when your having fun.. Fast forward to twelve years ago and when I realized this was more than likely the reason I couldn't hit that bar chord playing the guitar beyond the two or three basic chords was not ever going to happen.. No matter the hand exercises I tried to do.. Just ain't not in my planing.. Darned it all..
