Everest you wild mountain you

A little 'splainin' the entry for today's music entry on PNOP.. The Lacuna Coil show was done in 2006, which I wasn't aware of.. This is a fairly early show in their existence but still showed the rawness before they would gather all their muscle and write two extremely good albums, Karamacode and their latest masterpiece Dark Adrenaline.. Their American tour from earlier this year was their best yet and hopefully they will be back next year for  a possible headliner tour..

The videos for phase two of the project were acquired and the music that will be used has been ripped, after that I started to edit the music to make the songs be what I like.. There is a good lot of it will be Tangerine Dream but some if not all the songs will be edited to the way I want them.. What was different about this?? Earlier I had talked about trying to make a comp type or a sort of "dub"  type of thing.. Back about twenty years ago (has it been that long) I did this with such ease with a tape recorder and it was so easy, now with a digital editor I find that getting it exact is really hard to do, although if I could find a music editor that did what I wanted it to do t would be so much easier.. on analog the previous part of the song would still be there and the new part would walk over it and the two would sort of fade onto each other.. With digital it doesn't do that, it is exact or a form of perfection which if the stopping point and the starting point aren't perfectly set  as in the up beat cuts into another upbeat then the song sounds out of time.. The beat is the more important while the music is as equally important, the change in key or harmonic can be tolerated but the beat is the dead giveaway.. So it can take some doing to get it exactly the way I want it to be..

Then will come the video change of scenes from one activity or action to another to try to make everything kind of sync up in a way.. The railroad (train) one is getting me the most excited to do.. The train footage coupled with the Siberian soundtrack that TD did a few years ago, I'm really gettin a lot of good ideas for.. This should be the first video but more than likely won't be.. As things go, the song Flashflood keeps popping into my head, and a video with that song will likely be first, followed by that Pixel Pirates song has me equally intrigued..  Should be an interesting run of videos..

The RSS reader:: this has got to be the toughest thing, to see all the RSS that I have and know that some of it is interesting while some is just filler.. How to edit the enormous set that it is??  I think I have to have a set guideline, some sort of idea of how one might stay and another goes.. And stop adding RSS, makes editing nearly impossible..
