It's always tricky talking about things after the fact.. Things you swear happened but might not have.. Then there is the total recall "this is exactly what happened"... So with that in mind.. My brother followed me down to take the car to a shop in a town close but not quite walking distance from here.. And then I rode with him back home.. We talked about various things and then hunting came up.. He has in the past hunted deer, and while that might sound like a terrible thing, when you accidentally hunt a deer using your car.. That is a terrible thing and really I'd rather deer be thinned by hunting than with a car.. He was talking about the various seasons and what they use, black powder, bow and arrows.. Then crossbows.. Those just sound like fun to use, I mean Darryl from walking dead seems to have all the fun with his cross bow.. Then I thought well how long is the hunting season with a sling shot.. Not that I have one, but I could use a rubber band and kill a deer, but you have to be right close to deliver the death blow and have a deer that likes to play around with it's very life.. Then there is my pellet gun.. But let's not get ridiculous here...
Movies from last weekend were a small number...
Kristy is about a girl who stays behind at college on Thanksgiving weekend and gets more than she bargained for as a local cult like group hunt her down.. Kind of a group that makes death scenes (real death scenes) for a web site.. A love story. Not really at all...
The Song Remains The Same, Led Zeppelin... Well if you can believe this.. I ordered this dvd at the same time I ordered The Endless River, Pink Floyd's "last" album.. (why quotation marks around that?? You never know, they say it is the final album but.. you never know.. never say never is my motto) And these were ordered at the same time from of all places Barnes and Nobble with a gift card thing.. The song remains the same was truly a lark, I was just looking for something to add up to get the whatever the final price was.. Anyway I had seen the movie in the theater way back when it was originally released.. My older brother and I went to this and truth be told the longer song sequences damn near put me to sleep then.. I have since gotten this on VHS tape and then the DVD version now.. The early part of the movie, the opening sequences, I don't remember.. That is so sad to me.. But the rest of the concert.. FANTASTIC.. They don't do concerts like that anymore.. If you want to see what influenced me to really get into rock music.. THIS IS IT..
The Omen... This classic movie I had seen parts of but never the entire thing in one sitting.. This was supposed to be the Halloween movie but I couldn't find it on the netflix search.. But then the next day it showed up and so i watched it.. This is a very interesting movie, maybe not a you gotta watch it type but still it is worth a view..
Other shows watched.. Surviving Progress.. A documentary about the way things seem to be heading in the world.. It is a worry that we could all end up in a world like the old road warrior scenario where there is fighting for a drop of gasoline.. As well as other things.. I don't officially list it as a show I watched because I got too depressed to watch it all.. I've had dreams of this type of shit..
Vexed.. This is a British tv show, a nine episode only series.. Very funny and just one of those shows that ended long before it should have.. The subtitles are Italian, but the show here is English sound..
