Tangerine Dream Live : From Pluto ... Now no it wasn't recorded from Pluto as you know no human has stepped foot on the planet.. This is along the lines name wise of the Rocking Mars double disc from a few years back.. This is kind of my way of putting a compilation of Tangerine Dream live tracks from their latest live releases.. Here I will review the set.. Here above is the front cover of the album..

Center tray sleave above..
Song list is as follows,
1 Rubycon, Now this is the more modernized version but the best part is they didn't feel the urge to put a beat to it, the classic VCS3 synthi sound remains fairly entact, just the use of more modern synthisizer..
2 Logos, as it was re recorded by Tangerine Dream but still has the song's main theme..
3 Asphedel and Stella as this track starts the Tempodrone show and was the first time I had ever heard it and is a fairly long opus..
4 Kiev Mission, classic TD off rhythm track a little showing off by the band here..
5 Song of the whale, as recovered by the band adding a dance beat to the classic, this really isn't even close to the original but I guess that is progress..
6 One Night In Space, another new track from the past ten years or so.. Has a classic TD sound but the basic drum dance beat that is why I left the fandom of Tangerine Dream and a lot of fans as well..
7 Midwinter night.. Classic from the Turn of The Tides album.. There really is none better from that era..
8 Cinnamon Road, another re-cover of a classic with a few added bits here and there..
9 Carmel Calif. is a nice swing in a different direction..
10 Mombasa is a track that is the start track from Lisbon set two.. Nice start and jam song..
11 Exit, full classic track from the album of the same name.. One of those that has a change in key that drops you for a loop..
12 Blue Bridge is nice slow down and a signal that this is the very best track on the entire album.. Unless there are more songs to come..
13 Trauma, I believe this was from the hospital scene from the movie hector was a square..
14 La Liberation, this one is the final track of the show.. From Tempodrom it really does set the mood for the drive home..
What horse shiite, but really I liked these tracks.. Not loved them, the better tracks I left off in favor of getting songs I didn't already have.. Songs like Oriental Haze, or Melrose which I have on the Arizona show, recorded during the '92 tour that would produce the 220 Volt live album..
It takes a lot to go with these tracks of which eight I have in any other form but only a few were from live album form.. Leaving six to hold the banner "never heard this one before".. The most of the heard before were from the early days of the band and I know people were disappointed to hear them this way.. Including me but this is Edgars Tangerine Dream and not Christoph Franke or Peter Baumann's version of the band.. But it really isn't horrible.. Or is it..
Tangerine Dream from Pluto set for release worldwide Tuesday, January 19 ...
