When it rains it pours.. What caused the Aurora (Firefox developer) browser to shit the bed is anyone guess.. Yesterday I wasn't the happiest as the computer, old fart that it is becoming, acted up again.. Now when it stops or freezes I will shut it off with the power button and fingers crossed when it gets turned on again it will have to check a disc for consistency and run that.. And yesterday it did that and upon getting done I tried to get Aurora going and it started but then the main or home page is the FVD speed dial, and it showed nothing.. Just a white screen where the dials once were.. After trying several hours to avoid the inevitable restart or deleting the speed dial and reinstall which causes it to have to start from scratch.. I went to bed with that on my mind.. Today tried all the things to avoid starting from scratch.. But then deleted the speed dial, then reinstall and let it start over again and.. It didn't work.. I uninstalled the browser and I mean it was all gotten rid of.. Every trace of it.. Then went to my favorite site to down load it again only to see what might be a better browser.. I checked Aurora but the reviews aren't favorable.. Truth is I really have a strong dislike for every browser, or I should say they all have a slight shit the bed quality that I get pissed off about but.. And I quit using Firefox proper because it has a massive suck shit quality that drives me over the edge.. What I got was Ice Dragon.. Kinda like Comodo Dragon but where comodo has the Chromium platform system, Ice dragon uses Firefox... Is it better than Aurora?? Guess we'll see..
So we got these bulbs at the dollar tree in town and they are a singing and lighting type of fun.. Mom hangs one on the back drying rack and the other she hangs in the tree in the front room a week later give or take.. These are activated by a change of light, and so. During December the things sing we wish you a merry christmas and a happy new year, with music backing and a red light blinking show.. Sounds fantastic and it was great.. In December they rarely went off because it was a dark month with plenty of snow and clouds.. And then ... January hit, with more sun.. The one in the front would go off when a car went by during the afternoon, a quick flash and it went off. The back one went off from about 8:30 or there about, off and on through the day depending on the light, and friends that thing got a work out at about noon one day.. They both did, in fact it was like a stereo effect at one point, me sitting almost right in the middle, the clouds going over one day activated them over and over.. After a while you ignore it because it is almost constant.. Then the one in the kitchen starts to lose it's umph.. Gradually it has been going down a little in pitch, getting quieter but then it starts to waver a bit developing a quiver.. Now today it sounds like it is on it's last legs.. It sounds more like a Halloween decoration.. Goulish..
Yesterday I was doing entries for the Phudge Nuts blog, and it was the October entries.. I was going along fine and then it the 12th.. And that stopped me in my tracks.. That fateful day this past fall.. I then thought I will have to do something special for that day.. So I started to work on something and then realized it doesn't have to be done today.. I've got a few months.. But that sure reminded me of that day.. Watched the video from that ... And worked up a video.. I will work on it more through the year and set it later..
One of the things I kinda like about doing the blog the way I am is I am setting memes from now into what will eventually be seen eight months from now.. Sort of a reminder for those who need to be dinged about remember what happened in Flint Michigan, or that in Oregon with the idiot melitia.. Things of that nature so if anyone looks at the blog they will be reminded of that and hopefully vote accordingly.. That's the plan anyway..
