Ok, yesterday's entry about issues pertaining to planting grass, put to rest today with some sprigs of new grass coming out.. Ten days later, "WE GUARANTEE THIS GRASS WILL GROW" well some of it is growing happy days.. The question I have, sites that I have looked at have all said mow the grass as high as you can, meaning the highest setting.. But my question is with the grass so tall won't watering it take more water to get through to the ground?? I will try to mow it at the highest setting, but I did do this four or five years ago and the weeds that are supposedly being choked out by the tall grass grew with no issues at all..
And now this is in the news fairly strong..
Leave it up to John Oliver to make this happen and I have little doubt that he was the reason the FIFA soccer (football) is finally being busted.. Quite possibly the most corrupt sporting event with the Olympics being a very close second and I have little doubt that we will hear of the Olympics being investigated as well for the same exact thing..
The great late night institution that is David Letterman retired last week, after doing his show for some 30 plus years.. I remember watching the shows on NBC and then CBS and shortly after 9/11 I lost interest in his show, but have watched the better bits on YouTube..
When he had the kids on in various clips it was really him at his best.. Quick wit he had.. This was him at his best..
A lot of people think it was his political stance that made some people stop watching.. With me I moved on, and in fact the last few years I have started watching other shows and really didn't watch any of the late shows at all.. I watched shows on the Roku more than anything else..
In an interview he had done before his final show he had said it was time for someone else to do this show.. (maybe that was John Stewart leaving the Daily show shortly as well) and that he was losing touch with the fans.. And truth is he might be (or they both might be).. John Stewart is burning out, I'd love to see him move towards something on Netflix truth be told.. It has been quite a year for shows like these that I watched with John Oliver moving to HBO, Stephen Colbert going to Dave Lettermans time slot and show.. John Stewart leaving.. Going home.. Then going somewhere else once his kids and wife boot him out..
