I swear the site said unNixed.. Wow, really.. Ok, alright.. The song above is part of a series that was released on a fan site of the KISS music and was fun to look at.. I checked the music out of only one album, Dressed To Kill because it was a favorite back in the day.. Still is as a matter of fact.. When I first bought the album I was disappointed that they didn't sound as hard edged as their Alive! album.. So the other day I'm looking at the site where I get tons of bootleg material from and the site links to another site that has a shitload of KISS boots.. And this was there as well.. This song is Get Away and the sound on it sounds like it was either a demo tape.. Or it was recorded onto tape by someone in such a way as to make it sound this way.. Back in "the day" when I had a turntable playing everything I listened to, there was a way to make songs sound this way.. Disconnecting one of the wires from the stylus could get this effect.. On my first compact disc stereo it had simulated surround sound that took the vocals out, or at the very least made the vocals not as prevalent.. This has a background sound to it here and it is annoying, and takes away the listening.. UnMixed series here there were quite a few but I settled on the one only for now just to check on.. Interesting none the less.. These were cover mashups I guess.. There are some seven or so "unmixed" versions out there.. I think they are only slightly interesting.. With what the Dressed To Kill album sounded like I might try to get the rest if they are offered at my main site for getting bootlegs.. But if they aren't then I will consider what I got just an interesting sounding experiment and move on..
