Vs.

What I like about these videos...

The mentality of the biker is just stay ahead and on your bike.. Speed can be a really good ally but more than anything else, knowing your go to getaway areas are very important.. Being able to split the lanes is also nice.. Now as much as I like to watch these videos for their "Smoky and the Bandit" theme, there is a down side to this, beyond the obvious "they could get hurt or worse"  well.. Yes, that is obvious..  But when a police person has just gotten done with a frustrating chase that yields nothing but a waste of time, they are frustrated and so when they pull a car over they might not be in the best of moods.. Could this be where people get shot or why??  They shouldn't carry that over to the next person the pull over but I'm willing to bet they might..  Police car versus dirt bike.. I mean as long as the bike has a full tank the bike rider has a fairly good idea how long they can ride, so toying with the police can be fun for a little while, until you can't and have to outride the cop..  I have seen a ATV run out of gas on one of these videos..  In that case and it was in the Florida Everglades area so he had no place to go and a helicopter in the chase making getting away about as easy as being out in the middle of the dessert..  Good luck guys..

Street bikes are limited to pretty much the roadways.. That isn't a bad thing because hitting the high speed they do helps them out.. Maneuverability on either dirt of road bike either one can out ride a car, while they can get up to that speed, the bikers can turn on a dime, and while the cars can do damage if they can ram the bikes, it's getting into position to do that that takes some doing..   It does make you feel for these guys (the police officers)  and makes you wish that (thinking in terms of being a police officer) that they had  a secret weapon..  Such as all they need to do is take a picture of the perps license plate with the speed on the radar gun to at least get them for speeding.. Knowing as well they flip wheelies and give them the bird.. Do that split lane riding..  While split lane riding is legal in some states, it can make people uneasy having a bike right next to you on the roadway..   Also could all bikes be equipped with a deadmans auto switch off that can be activated by the police by way of aiming a laser at the bike in a certain location and shutting the engine off??  That would potentially be extremely dangerous for everyone involved.. But still, when you see these riders just out there riding as if being chased by the police is just a fun hobby, it makes you feel for the police.. a little... But I do like watching these biker videos.. I like watching the chase knowing full well these guys could lose all sorts of things if they get caught.. As well as lose their lives if they run into a car doing 90 miles an hour and the car is barely crawling..

(P.S.   In case you don't know what lane splitting is.. Here's a video that illustrates it to a T...

And he bullshits with you the watcher.. But.. Isn't that the way it normally is..)
