This is us

Alright, after watching some of the debate last night, joke that it was, I can honestly say... Why do they even bother..  But you know there will be an election.. One of those two will get elected and the other will sue because he lost...   What Trump bringing Bill Clinton in during the debates besides being a desperate move accomplished is beyond me... He was in full deflect move and if you were playing a drinking game and your tell for a shot was his darth vader breathing then you are reading this while nursing the worst hangover you have ever had, my condolences to those brain cells..

Watching some movies recently, this must have been turn the clock back weekend..  Some oldies but goodies.. First of...  du  du du du du du du du...

The classic soundtrack that goes with.. JAWS...  A classic movie that has it all and that includes the old finger nails grinding on a chalkboard, or as most kids will say so what's so bad about that.. They don't use chalkboards  anymore.. I was never bothered by that or nails on styrofoam either..  The noise that bothered me was a stylus on a record scratching... Yikes..  But this movie, farce that it is, was a serious thriller in it's day.. When I watched a program on it they said the fake shark was a bust more often than not, it just was the most expensive prop on the movie and it just refused to work.. So a lot of the scenes were actually shot without the shark in view..  A lot of Hitchcock type of anticipation as to what might be about to happen next.. The human mind can be a scarier place than visuals can be.. It's why books are so great..

Steven King's Children Of The Corn... Yeah, I had never seen this movie start to finish before.. Jaws I think I'd seen almost all of it.. This one, not so much..  A fairly good farce but still.. Scary if you let it be..  Interesting little movie..

The Trigger Effect, This one is fairly predictable and I swear I had seen a movie of this type before.. Any movie with Kyle MacLachlan in it seems destine to have a certain amount of weird in it.. Add Dermot Mulroney and you have the makings of a weirdfest but still interesting.. When the power goes off in a California town (Los Angeles?) shit hits the fan quickly.. Seriously people freak out because the power is off for a day or two??  I didn't know that..   Elisabeth Shue  is also in this, and so that makes it watchable..

Finally the movie Consumed.. Yeah I needed a good being pissed off and this did it.. This is about the GMO movement that we are being forced to endure.. GMO: Genetically Modified (engineered) Organism (food, both crop and animal)..  This is a movie about that not a documentary although I have seen docs on this type of crap.. What they are showing is that this gals kid gets a skin rash, and they try everything to figure out what causes this, from soap to detergent .. and then food.. Kids can develop issues with eating food that is GMO.. So what food contains a form of a GMO... Literally EVERYTHING.. That pop you love, made with corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup.. They have non GMO food but it is few and far between.. If they have no problem, if they say it is fine for people to eat it then why not openly label it??  Most people have no idea they are eating what is essentially a poison.. But we are.. Unless you watch what you are eating, you are eating this crap and it won't change any time soon.. Just the way it is..
