A couple of movies this weekend from the netflix discs rental.. First was Collision.. Quite a movie, with the idea of a couple going out in the Sahara desert and going to look at ruins they get in a car chase and end up colliding with a broke down car.. Hard to believe something like that could happen in the middle of the desert .. What I thought might be a movie in the realm of Open Water (about a couple that go scuba diving with a group of tourists and get accidentally left behind) I thought it was going to be in that area of movie.. It wasn't.. In fact there was enough twists and turns that it kept me guessing..
The second movie from disc was the movie Hours.. This was yet another movie in the long line of movies with the Katrina hurricane as the backdrop to tell a story.. But this was very much worth the watch.. To show what a parent will do for a child.. really a well told story although close to dragging at times, it was just about too long..
Saturday night seems to be becoming movie night, and not just any movie but a movie I've seen many times before.. A few weeks ago it was Can't Buy Me Love, which was a movie that was shown over and over way back when we first got cable tv here and it was twelve channels and Showtime was one of the channels we got on a relatively basic set of channels.. But that movie had as the lead in it Patrick Dempsey he of the doctor mcdreamy on Grays Analogy .. Anatomy...
Then last week it was Adventures In Babysitting with Elizabeth Shue as the babysitter.. Just one of those cute movies that is fun to watch.. Then this past Saturday night was Thelma and Louise.. That can only be listed as classic.. Girl buddy movie that ended with that classic Butch and Sundance ending...
