2 times 1

Ok I did a quick test video today and tried to retrace my steps to see what I did wrong with the videos.. Here the video was converted using the program I used for the videos Thursday.. Every setting is just like Thursday and what I see is mostly default settings which I don't know why I did that.. There are five settings to get the video to come out right, and I did one.. Only one.. The reason I did was before on the program I would set everything and it would stay the way I wanted them.. Now with the updated version the settings revert back to default, so instead of everything being left alone and getting what I want, I have to reset every setting every time I want to convert the videos.. Guess that's only fair..
This video is the settings version.. I will watch what I am doing from now on..

I got the "cyber Monday" deals email/FB notification thing yesterday and just out of S&G's I looked at it..  They have HD video cams for nearly the same price as the camera I have now.. I looked at them and just for more shits & giggles I check the big 800 greenbacks cam out.. What a fantastic little toy this would be.. Now when I was looking at the cameras before, trying to decide which I should get they said the HD and SD (standard def, what I got) were almost identical quality because of the price range, that at the range I was looking at they really had to be more expensive to see  marked improvement even though the HD was supposed to be THAT much better.  It was the reason I stayed in that range. That and with a camera that is in the 500-900 dollar range would be way.. WAY THE fuck more than I would want to risk.  Then there is the file size difference.. I have a 250GB storage amount on the computer that when I got the camera was around 150GB free space and now hovers around the 100GB area, sometimes going as low as 50GB after last week..  With the HD cameras the size of the video files would not only double but at the 1080p video resolution would be.. Let me put it this way, the camera I have right now has a 32GB SD card.. The HD camera suggests the smallest card to be used is 64GB.. It has 64 internal and TWO slots for two more cards.. Seriously..   I would have to have at least 1TB external storage drive, if not two or three.. So the tradeoff is a smaller file.. I am happy with what I have..
