Working from a mental outline I tried to work the story of when I was in the band from when I first started playing the drums way back when the drums were icecream buckets and even when I had my very first snare drum in the form of a toy.. Then worked through the school days quickly to my first band then later the bands that would become the two that I would gig with..  I'm gonna try to get it all wrapped up by the end of this week.. I spent a few days writing exclusively then took Friday off and sparing writing to try to get any of the ideas that were buried in my memory.. I finally wrote about the final days of the band or my final days in the band.. After writing so much material I now am going to have to figure out what stays and where and what goes and hopefully it will be a nice little writeup.. I tried several times to have the story written before on another blog but just was too in a rush and wanted it to be done in one sitting.. This time I thought about a lot of issues and wrote them down in an outline type of way, starting an idea and getting the gist and then moving on to another and getting a start to where the idea  could be finished.. A lot of the ideas came that way.. I would be writing about one thing then a different idea would pop into my head and I would write about it and then go back to where I was.  So many things happened during those five years, and the emotional roller coaster of being in the band and everything that was what being in a band was like.. The times was just right for what we did.. For what we were..

Is it me or is the grass still growing??  Well about the same as it usually does.. Last year I watered into November then stopped when it did get cold.. This year it has been cold but lately it is that early fall temps in the 60's and 70's..  How weird is this??..  Decorated for Halloween .. Well not really.. We never got anywhere to get anything to decorate with so.. I didn't decorate.. For Christmas I will set some lights up this week and set it to the light switch with the timer on it to be on for five hours..

Mom was talking about where to go for Christmas shopping and the one place she doesn't feel like going this year is Cheyenne.. I told her that was fine with me.. The main reason is we would have to leave fairly early and she wares out fairly quickly and I just lose the notion to be there.. Stores I like to go to is Target, they have the coolest displays of everything really.. The mall was such a great place but has lost it's lustre recently.  Big Lots became a favorite because of it having more unique items.. Really there isn't much that I like about driving clear the hell down there to shop for.. It feels like a fair waste of time when we can get everything online, the trip to a "brick and mortar" store is just not that important anymore..
